Betrayed by a Friend?

Ever made a friend, and thought your friendship was solid? And then they betrayed you for some reason? It could be that you did something to end your friendship, or got in a fight with each other, etc. Point is, you people aren't friends anymore. So, this ever happen to you?

As for me, I was in summer camp, back when I was in 4th grade. It's a day camp called, "Camp Sumner." I made friends with two people, Scott and Gage. They were anime lovers, and so was I, so I made friends with them both. I felt the need to introduce them to each other and apparently, they were already friends 0__o, what a coinsidence! Anyways, one day, we were all talking and I just played a small joke on them. The next time I saw them, they yelled at me and were obviously mad. Then, they teamed up, made fun of me, and never talked to me again...sad, isn't it? Tell your story if you like.

well yeah of course. just last year. my ex-best friend betrayed me completley. she betrayed my trust, and She betrayed my friendship and she still tries to talk to me. so yeah.

I've been betrayed by people i'm related to and of course some friends but in the end somehow I end up being there friend again.I don't know how I I don't think I ever will <_<

I had a friend who tried the "let me borrow something today, and I'll let you borrow something tomorrow".

The something I lent was Final Fantasy VI.

After waiting a few (week, months, something) it came to be the last-day-of school-eve-day. My brother waits until after school and kicks him in the balls, promising him more of the same.

I got the game back.

Moral of the Story: If you must be a nice guy, have a foster brother who is irrational and prone to violence.

Oh yes. Who hasn't been betrayed by someone? Friend-wise, I've given up on having close friends again. Hubby is enough. And family? Guess I'm stuck with my father, much as it pains me.

Well, yeah. Also, I never actually asked my brother to inflict harm upon him. My brother came to the bus a little late, and informed me of what he had done. The next day, my brother hands me my Final Fantasy 6. I do not look gift horses in the mouth.

Yeah. But that happens to everyone. It just reminds you that sometimes you can't trust everyone. However, the worst way I was betrayed was when my friend decided to go around the school saying a bunch of lies about me. Such as me being racist and sexist. Man, sixth graders can be cruel o_o. That was the ultimate test of who were my real friends. My real friends didn't believe that crap. Whatever, I eventually got over myself. Another time is when one of my friends admitted that she was only my friend to get money (since I always ended up paying for food at the theater or something like that) and rides. Ugh... kindness can sometimes be a flaw >_<.

I don't know if I should call it "betrayed". Well however my friend just insulted me about plenty of things which made me feel like CRAP. I stopped spending time with her but now about a year later we talk from time to time on msn. I moved out so I can't really see her anymore.

yes I have been betrayed, and the reason is so silly when you think about it. It was when I was young and there were 2 boys in my class that hated eithother. One were strong and you know the big-strong-hated-guy, and the other was my "friend", I know him a little but not to much . we can call the hatedguy for Z and the other, not so hated guy, for X. They were in a fight on day and then asked us other classmates who we liked best of them. The other were to afraid to say anything else so they said "Z" but I was honest and said "X". Then the other guy went mad and hited me, kicked me and then the others went along, even my friends. They kicked me in the head, in the belly and everywere. After I was upset and called him names and then my teacher came and forced me to say "sorry" to him.


it was so sick!!! I get mad even thinking about it today! So if you Z or my old friends read this: I-dont-like-you! BAH! >_<

Thank god I am grown up now, so I dont have to be with them anymore :P

What happened to me is not actually a real betrayal or something, but that person did something very disappointing. Like breaking promises and spreading a secret.

In third grade of elementary school, I was best friends with this kid in my class, L. Starting fourth, I wasn't friends with L. anymore, because he wasn't in my class, so I started to become best friends with K., who was previously L.'s best friend. So anyway, on the last day of fourth grade, L. and K. came up to me and L was like: "K doesn't want to be friends with you anymore." and K. just stood there and kind of fidgeted around. Messed me up for a good day or so.

This is the only safe one.

Yeah, once by one of my best friends. It involved the female species, I don't want to really go into it but we reconciled and now I think we may be better friends.

Ohhh yeah. This chic used to be my bestfriend for years, I trusted her COMPLETELY. Big mistake... turns out she was getting jealous of my other friends hanging out with me (even though I wasn't even as close to them as I was to her) and due to that possessiveness, told me lies that they said rude things about me behind my back, etc etc, she even later admitted it saying she'd done it because she didn't want to "share" me... I lost a wonderful friend in particular whom I'll never get back too.

To make matters worse, when I got really sick and had to stay home from school for about 1-2 weeks, she told everybody I was in some mental hospital... luckily a friend of mine told me so when I got back to school, it was quite easy to clear things up with those she told. Apparently they didn't believe her in the first place because they already didn't trust her. Luckily, unlike her, I'm a DAMN loyal friend- so they had no doubt on trusting me. Soon after, I confronted her about it and stopped hanging out with her.. though later she ended up trying to mend things, and me being naive (or just plain stupid), decided to try and work things out.

Big mistake again, because it ended up just being for her to start that whole jealousy fiasco again. In fact, she even told her parents (whom had actually liked me before all that) that I tried to get her into drugs and when she got caught for shoplifting, she said I was the one who put her through it... and I wasn't even participating...and I never have done drugs recreationally either... seriously. After all that crap I completely stopped talking to her and have ever since. Even now she's tried talking to me again, but there's no way I'm going through that a third time. Pluh.

I just don't get it though- if you're that clingy to someone- why end up screwing with their life? All it ends up doing is making them not want to hang around you rather than seek your help.

Yeah, I got betrayed on my first week of middle school.

I thought I made a friend with a girl who was really nice to me. Turns out, she just wanted to know my locker number so that she could place a note in it saying that "I am a dork."

Never saw her again after that day.

i had basically the same thing happen to me, but in that betrayal i found out that she wouldn't protect me, after all that i had sacrificed for her. and she was the only friend that i had about five years ago and that has all gone to waste...

To be honest, I haven't had a friend who hasn't betrayed me. It seems like everyone does it to me at some point or another. Oh well I'll find someone who won't someday.

Funny, that's my own situation in a nutshell. And she blamed her goddamn actions on me. I don't know how she did it, but she was able to convince herself that it was all my fault. Yeah. A bit sad.

It is not really betrayal if you don't care for them. I get quite frustrated when some people are quite cheap and self-centered, what the point of having you as a friend if I can't benefit from you?
