I cannot know
Until I die
What faith is worth.
Is it worth nothing?
Is it worth everything?
Alas, I cannot answer.
The Bible
The Torah
The Qur'an
They give me no comfort.
I am but a man
I cannot know everything
Yet I wish I could.
My questions are left unanswered
And the debate rages on
The only ones who truly know
Are not willing to talk.
The mind, the soul
Can it exist without the body?
While I cannot know the truth
The fact that none of the dead
Have gotten up and said
"This sucks!"
Is enough comfort for me.
