Even if we ever did have a "major database error", don't forget that we do keep four separate historical backups, so data loss would be minor.

Anyway, we do not delete accounts. This is because all actions and posts associated to you lose their owner, and this causes problems that we simply do not like. So we don't delete accounts.

Well, there was ONE TIME, where we lost the entire forum... (one time we lost all the members too, back in january or so of 2000. hehe.)

But vbb is way easier to backup than ubb.

True, but that was in our infancy. These days, every single bit of data is backed up multiple times to prevent that from every possibly happening again.
