I started to watch LS recently and I really like it. :3
It's cute! Not all jokes are THAT funny in my opinion, LS is a little bit overrated, but it's good, especially for those who likes cute things.
Konata is my favourite character, because she resembles myself. Except that I don't type as nerdy as her when I chat xD (on ims and mmos)

That American dub of lucky star makes me want to hate the anime. They didn't capture the cute voices of the characters. With out cute voices, I don't want to watch it. Konata's voice in the dub makes me sick, its not cute at all. I shall stick to the original.
well IMO, Konata's voice is the best dub out of all 4 of them.
but the more i watch it, the more i see how bad they all are.

This is a fan dub, but I love the voices. The people who did this did a great job. Sounds way better than the voices I've heard on the dub preview for the dvd release.
that was really well done!
however, i'm going to pick a couple things apart with that one.
the volume levels were a little iffy, especially when two different characters were talking and you were meant to hear one over the other.
Mr Takashi (sp?) could have had a little more emotion put into his voice. it sounded like the voice actor was just talking louder instead of actually yelling.
Tsukasa sounded just a bit too air-headed...
of course, those are just really minor things, and on the whole, whoever did the fansub deserves mad props.

Hehe. I liked her air-headedness. It made her a really cute character.
You people are fools. The dubs are good. You all gotta think in the perspective in which they could of been a lot worse than what they are right now

coming from a guy who does a lot of ADR in his work, i'd say the second one was way better than the first one, however the second one sounds less professional on the technical side of things (volume levels, heard a couple hard-cuts in there, etc).
PS, incase you're wondering what ADR is, it stands for Automatic Dialogue Recording, which takes all the audio clips in the video track and replaces them with recordings that are done in studio instead of out where the scene was filmed.
