One shouldn't look on his drawings and go on comparing with others...that's not what being an artist means...

Well, I only linked to that image to prove that age isn't a deciding factor in skill, as that picture is obviously very skillfully done even though the artist was still a teenager when she did it. Dedication and practice are far more important.

Alright! Finally got some more of my Life Drawing stuff uploaded, despite having completed the course no earlier than 4 months ago...

We did a lot of these. They were quite fun. Should be okay for AF, due to lack of details, I think...


Took me many tries to get that box drawn correctly.
I have a much better one than this that I spent around 10 hours working on, but I have no good pictures of it. =/


My teacher absolutely loves the one on the right. Still can't quite get why. Says I should expect it from art teachers, though: spend 30 hours on one thing, but they'll fall in love with and talk about the doodle you spent 15 minutes on instead.

First complete life drawing piece, I'd think. Went pretty well!


My actual art final. The subject is me, posing in a pink-and-brown striped sweater in the bathroom in front of the mirror. Drawing the right arm was a bit tricky since I was drawing with it at the same time.



I actually signed this picture but the signature was about half as big as the image itself. Male nude model, but you can't see anything here (mainly because I couldn't see anything of interest from that angle, either). VERY good practice in ink, better than my previous attempt, and I surprised myself by how accurate it came out despite not sketching it out or anything before hand.

This is one of the best arts I've seen here so far. You have great talent and great teachers. I admire your ability for drawing so nice faces, I suck at that. =3 Overall your work is awesome. Great shading, proportions and nice costume design. Wish you to improve even more! =D

Something that originally started as part of my final project for my color class last quarter, but was dropped. I did this anyway just for fun. The background is far too distracting but I still like it.



You know what's really funny, though? THIS was my final piece:



Which may draw a "what the crap" kind of response because it doesn't look like anything, but the challenge for me was using JUST color and abstract shapes to represent feelings or ideas. It was very well-received in the class and with my professor.
Anyone care to guess what each image represents?
