What is rep power?

Ok firstly what is rep power? Is it important or something?

And secondly how or what do I do to get some?

rep power is reputatios power do people like you or hate you if rep is red then they hate you then green then they like you and then its biger then they more like you thats all =)

rep power, it means your reputation power, the more reps you get, the more powerful you are
if you reach rep power 99999999999999999999999999999 you can then rule the universe

Rep power is how much you will affect another member's reputation if you Good or Bad rep them.

Example: If I rep Robbeech90 who has total rep 355 atm and I have 330 rep power atm

If I gave you green rep, the "I approve" it would be:

(Your current rep total) + (My rep power) = (New Total Rep)

355 + 330 = 685

-----
If I gave you red rep, the "I dissapprove", it would be:

(Your current rep total) - (My rep power Divided by 2) = (New Total Rep)

355 - (330/2) = 190

========




And before anyone asks, Rep power is gained by gaining higher positive rep. Negative rep will yield zero rep power. And I think** there might be a minimum post count or membership length or total rep before you can have rep power. And apparently you gain +1 rep power for every 1000 posts.

You gain positive rep when other people click the in one of your posts and ticks the "I approve" circle and clicks "Add to Reputation"

Thanx. I didn't know about the 1000 posts one at all since I haven't experiences enough multiples of 1000 to notice. Also I just assumed that values were affected the same way...I usually don't pay attention to how much my red ones subtract.

I think it's 50 posts that you need because at the moment I'm looking at Lady_Yui's posts at 58 and she has rep power now.

Since reps were well explained,I might go on the other stuff...
Once I've became registered member,I was required to be member for more than month,and to gather (if I remember correctly),more that 100 posts...
Then my rep would actually become rep,being good or bad...

Rep limit is something many of us have experienced...
I'm not sure how many,but once you reach it you have to wait 24h to be able to rep again...
Though you could actually rep after 10 or 12h,but if you do that,simply,you'll get to rep once or twice and that would be it...
Pretty much simple,once you reach the limit,simply wait for tomorrow to rep...
That's the whole wisdom...
Rep limit is different,depending on how much you have waited after you firstly got the limit...

Sometimes I find a lot of posts deserving of good reps, but the limit doesn't allow me to rep everyone deserving.
If they can lift the limit that will be better. If this isn't possible just ignore my request.

and my question is why would anyone go through so much trouble to create this maze-like system? Does it influence the others' view upon a bad rep owner's reply? Cause if it does it seems to me like a sort of discrimination... if you don't like one's oppinion that's OK, but why bad rep him? I agree with bad rep for spam(actually this is how i got my first set of bad rep...lol) and stupidity but i don't agree with bad rep for answers that we disagree...It's just another person expressing him/her self

Why the limit you ask...?
I highly believe that it's because someone would abuse his rep power to influence others,which is more than enough big reason to limit the rep giving...
And where actually is limit,who knows..?

Also,Bankai,there are people who don't use their reps for such stuff...
And there are people who bad rep people who they hate...or dissagreeing with them..
Though I don't think many people bad rep because of dissagreement...

Anywho,people are like that...most of them...
If they like someone,they good rep the person,and vice versa...
You can't change that...
Also,you shouldn't care too much about rep power,for it's really nothing THAT important...

Well,I actually simply just rep back (after 24h thingie) and give out good reps if person seem like a nice person who post smart things,not foolishness...
Bad reping,on the other hand is something I do only when people do idiotic things,or they act like they own this forum <___<;;;

Lol,anywho,I find bad reps necessary,there can't exist anything good without anything bad,no...?
That's the two side of the same coin,one cannot go without another,just wouldn't be good...
What will we do with spammers then,just simply infract and ban them,without giving an oportunity and explain why he/she was wrong?

I think I'll do a count of how many reps you can do in a 24 hour period some time this weekend. I'll just go into some random really old thread and rep down the page.

And I still can't figure out how often I can rep a single person. I dunno how I would figure out the exact number either.
