I guess I'll start with the Fan Bars in my Signature and my Signature itself, I'l get an Avatar when make one...Please submit complements or critique.

Fanbars! I love them. I've never tried making one before. It looks fun and colorful.

As for your signature. I like it. I don't really like the lower-opacity-ichigo-double thing though. It looks kinda funky. But I do like everything else in it. Especially that winged symbol. You also might want to do more with the background.

I'd be happy to teach you! Basically, you make a 350x19 canvas. Then you apply a vertical gradient, darker color on top. Your picture goes on the right. For the scanlines, you make a 6x6 image and zoom in to 1600x, then you use the pencil tool and a diagonal line. I usually add two more with a bit of separation. Then you select all and hit edit--> define pattern. Then in the fan bar, use the patter stamp tool (it's with clone stamp) and just paint all over to make it. The image goes on top, along with the text. You use a size 13 white Visitor TT2 (BRK) font, you can get it by googling it. Then you add 1 px black stroke (after rasterizing the text). Then I make an oval from top left corner to top right, and move it to where it is in the pics. Then I lower the opacity and set to screen! I can send you a template, the font, and pattern files if you'd like.

Oh, I have the pattern file. I think I made a pattern like that once before.. But thanks for telling me! I'll make one eventually. ^_^

This seems like chain mail or something, and in a way it is, but this is a message every teenager needs to learn. I learned it the hard way, but maybe this could give some people a push in the right direction.

I use Adobe CS3 Design Premium, Apple Color, and Apple Aperture, to touch up, re-contrast or recolor pictures. Sometimes when you make a sig, the contrast or exposure just isn't right. I will fix it for free. Here is a before-after example.

I've been experimenting with animating light. So far, this is what I have. I hope to make a signature that will also incorporate light particles and mini-spectrum rainbows.

Thank you! ^_^. I can't do grunge and such, so i'm moving towards light, animations and brush effects. I can use vector and the pen tool with ease too! ^_^. I have Adobe CS3 and Mac OSX 10.5.1 (Mac is MUCH BETTER for graphic design!).

Uh oh...i accidently removed the animation aspect.... I didnt save optimized. I'll redo it this afternoon.

Omni, I'm really impressed by your fan bars and your sigs. Good job. I've got a Mac as well (10.4.1), so I'm going to see if I can get CS3 put on it.

That's really awesome. ^_^ Maple leaves automatically make it awesome. xD No seriously, that's a nice job. Good colors, and nice outer glow. Simple, but it works. The maple leaf brush is probably one of my favorite brushes to use too.

Actually...I didn't use an outer glow. It's a screen drop shadow with 0 distance, an inner glow, and a larger sized inner shadow on lighten/screen.

Anyways, I'm designing a new signature, and im wondering if someone could give me access to a good resource for background tuts. Im a bit lacking in the background departments...

and i just downloaded...7 brush packs of maple leaves!

Ok, I need with these. I want to make them perfect for use as my new set, but i don't feel they quite make it yet. I think mainly the text is sticking out too much. If you have ANY suggestions as to effects to use for text, please tell me.

For your new set..The text is subtracting right now in my opinion. You don't usually want your text to take away from the focal.

Since I REALY hated my previous one, i decided to move away from brushing, because I always PHAIL at it. So I made this. Please tell me what you think. I'm worried the color behind the text is annoying. I made it due to the masking and such but...
