Go bad. If a good show is canceled, you will always wonder if that good show could have become even better.

it should get canceled of course, who wants to see a good show, for example your favorite show, continue and then go bad. I'd think that would be horrible. I'd rather just let it cancel and i think of my own possibilty of how it might go on.

For example: Ouran Host Club... if they start a second season and it's horrible, i'll say that they should have just left the first season. Because it was a waste of their time, if it turns out bad.
Even though i hope they do have a second season!! <33 And it'll be good! But that was just an example...

My question is why is this a hard one? I would just say that it goes bad because if it gets canceled i would be hugging and crying the TV going DAMNIT ALL WHY! And nobody want to see that.

I would want a good show or series just to end and stop. If the story line is good and ends with a good ending, it's perfect. So it shouldn't have to continue. ^^

This is similar to movie sequels as well. Sometimes the sequels are actually good, then sometimes (or most of the time) sequels are plain rotten and ruins the reputation of that particular series (Mortal Kombat is a good example)

I'd rather the show end at the right time then to continue dragging it through for money reasons whatever. Unless some sorta twist happens that won't destroy the main reason/idea of the show but is as interesting as that main plot, then the show won't be in danger of flopping. (Also, if the creator continues the show with passion as they did when it first started, then the show will stay some what good)

the Simpson's... most of us loved that show in the beginning but then its like what on its 100th season? come on how long can that show go.

even some of my favorite tv shows now like House is getting like... weird and annoying

i think they should just end at the right time not be canceled just have a finish already.

'House' used to be so good, and maybe Simpsons. Does anyone still remember Gray's Anatomy, or Los Vegas (is that the correct name?) ?
It actually all depends on how the show ends its seasons.

Let it run. If the show turns sour, I'm content to harbor an irrational hatred of those responsible for the show's production (as with DBGT and Terrible TOEI).
If one company doen't continue a commercially successful series, another likely will try to milk that cash cow dry. If the result is really that bad, it will be shunned colectively; nothing too bad can come from a continuation.

A GOOD show needs to stay good so I'd rather want it to cancel than continue with the result of being bad.
If you really liked a show, you don't want to get disappointed so you will start hating it because of another season of it, right? ;D

I think it's the people's decision because a show is supposed to please the audience. Being "Bad" is someone's opinion, and it should only be cancelled if the people want it cancelled.

This is a pretty dumb question, in my humblest of opinions. I would rather see a show have closure than not.

If a show has a conclusion, then the story was told. It doesn't get cancelled, it ends. There's a difference.

It's a damn shame when a show dies of old age, but the dreaded fifth season axing is also just as bad. I mean, they didn't have to close down Farscaspe. It could have gone on for another season. Futurama, the same (but I hear it's coming back).

personally if a good show is going down, then either use filler episodes or just end it with a strange ending and make a 2nd season later on. Just a thought.
