Do you belive that in a sense it would be possible to use real alchemy?
Destined to be alone for ever.

Alchemy as in FMA would never be a true thing we could do. Alchemy in 'actuality' is much different.
So, no, at least not in FMA standards.
Perhaps the world was never meant to make perfect sense.
Sure....if you channel into demons.

We proved this false in the middle ages. It's currently impossible(and was impossible then) to change the chemical and physical makeup of an object merely by drawing a symbol on it and clapping your hands.
Now if you wanted to do something like the chemical changes and a few of the physical ones, study chemistry and physics. Unlike studying alchemy, this might help you in the real world.

Ya know it would be so awsome if we could use alchemy but sadly we can't.So no,not now, maybe never.

Well actually alchemy was believed to be true when humans believed they could turn coal into gold when in all actuality, the "alchemist" just injected gold into the coal. In an FMA sense, alchemy cannot be real. Alchemy was considered to be a mix of chemistry and magic. Today, it is not possible, but there are believers out there...
actually it is possible to turn coal..............hold on dont you mean "lead" into gold? It is possible if the condition and requirment are right. Any metal element can be converted to any other metal element. The problem is you need a massive amount of energy to remove or add electron and protons from the atom to change what it is and even if you do have the energy the odd are very small, since you cant control how you add or subtract the electrons and protons. For example lead which is Pb has 82 electrons and 82 protons at it's core, and gold is Au has 79 electrons and 79 protons, basicly you need something with a large amount of energy to remove three protons and three electrons to turn lead into gold. I believe this was done before not sure though but thats what my old chemistry teacher or was it my physics teacher told me and he or she also told me that mining for gold is many times cheaper than making gold. However in FMA the Alchemist are able to tap into this super energy source through transmutaion circles

Ok It seems that Alchemy is not a combination of only Chemistry and Physics, Alchemy refers to an early form of the investigation of nature and an early philosophical and spiritual discipline, both combining elements of chemistry, metallurgy, physics, medicine, astrology, semiotics, mysticism, spiritualism, and art all as parts of one greater force.

Alchemy was and still is the flimsiest science ever conceived by man.

ok we all know alchemy is false but you cant disclose that its completly false since many branchs' of modern science came from it, so in a way modern science is alchemy. Yeah I know I sound looney but it true.

I agree, but I did just want to point out a couple of things. We can speculate the possibilities of alchemy (FMA style or any other) and whether or not it's possible, but, in the show, when Edward crosses over into "our" world, his father informs him that in "our" world, we didn't focus much on alchemy, compared to their's that is. He also stated that the secret ingredient (or hidden energy needed that was apparently coming from no where) in the transmutations taking place in "their" world came from the energy contained in our souls when we passed on from "our" world. So their speculating that in their history someone spent the time and effort and made a breakthrough with alchemy, where as in our world, we developed and spent more time on mechanics, physics, and industry. Take in point that the story took place in the 1930's, they have cars and trains but no planes, the only flying mechanism I saw was a hot air balloon, they have telephones, and no telegraphs. They're are just certain technologies they never developed, and vice versa, they have technologies, we never developed. I'd also like to point out a scene in the movie where they talk about parallel universes. The current running theory is that in a parallel universe the laws of physics can be different from our own. So in that light, we can not definitively say that Alchemy (as shown in FMA) is impossible, if you believe in the idea of a "soul" or an alternate universe, it is not only entirely possible, but probable. I'm open for discussion on this.

if someone is able to portray their mental energy's outside of their body well enough then i say it should be entirely possible.
tests have shown that people with telekinesis are able to portray their energy's out of their bodys. some people are able to influence the flow of electric with their mind by moving the electrons through the wires.
so if someone is good enough at this they should be able to do it on a subatomic scale and rearrange the atoms in an element to make something completely different
Parrallel universe and spiritual powers huh? They all sound cool and wish they were true but hey that life right?

Possible?....perhaps, in some forms. Probable?....unlikely. Worth the effort?... not so much.

alchemy is actually more of a scientist type genre i've learned a lot about it a long time ago and its actually quite interesting theres even games online that teach you how to understand =P

It really means what you mean by alchemy, if you mean the science which was a precursor to most of the real sciences then yes- just don't expect people to take you seriously when you make a 'discovery'. If you mean changing one particle to another then become a physicist- we do it all the time when we collide particles in accelerators. When an electron and positron collide they annihilate (turn into pure energy) and then new particles form from that energy. Alchemy in a nut shell. If on the other hand you mean changing one element to another (similar to above) become a chemist/physicist and research inducing beta + and beta - radioactive decay in atoms (which effectively changes the element- but actually causing this to happen in non radioactive atoms is currently not possible, I won't say it's impossible since I don't know enough to comment on that).
Another possibility (if you really want to clap you hands together and have something create something cool looking) is to research shape shifting swarms of micro bots controlled via human gesture interface.

i dont think so that human can do it,,,,but nothing imposible in this world,,,

The process of converting one element into another is possible. But with such advancements in chemistry and physics. Alchemy on a broadened scale would be pointless. In another sense, Alchemy in the present would bring about nothing more than millitary advancements... What if someone could get ahold of mass amounts of uranium for transmuting a specific metal or gas? Nonethess, Alchemy could never occour by drawing transmutation circles unless there was a supernatural force as a medium to perform such tasks.
"Be thou for the people..."

I read a bit about it but I don't think any of it would have happened. Like, they wanted to created gold from a lesser metal. They don't really have proof on that. And I remember reading that they tried to create a homunculus...that was unsuccessful. And besides the philosopher's stone....who knows. It said in this one book that thier was at least 7-9 people that were able to create the stone and live for a while. Nicolas Flamel was one of them that had created the philosopher's stone and it said that his tomb was completely empty. I highly doubt that someone from the....13th 0r 14th century could be walking and still alive today. It would be strange but some interesting. I really don't think that alchemy is really possible but modern chemists do perform something along the lines of alchemy but not necessarily alchemy itself. ^^

I dont think it will ever come to reality in our time perhaps in the future where we know not of whats new and stuff...
nothing is impossible as they say.
I have to admit that I would be highly interested to see alchemy realized to reality
