Any suggestions?

I want to get into another anime, however, I've been having difficulty finding many that fit my taste as much as the other ones I've seen. I generally like shows with fighting, interesting characters, and sad parts. So far, I've really enjoyed Fullmetal Alchemist, Rozen Maiden, Chrno Crusade, Air TV, Code Geass, Jigoku Shoujo, and Shakugan no Shana. I would really appreciate it if you could suggest another anime I might enjoy (however, anything well over 50 episode would probably kill me.) ^^
