Oh yeah, one more thing, In Flames rock. You just don't like them in your opinion. To me, they rock. Dragonforce, they rock as well. You just hate them because you can't play Dragonforce for crap on GH III on Expert mode. Metal version of The Devil Went Down To Georigia, rocks. No comments. No questions. Enough said.

I never said I don't like In Flames, I just say that "Take This Life" is probably the worst song they have.
I have been listening to them for about 7-8 years, I have all their albums, and I've seen them live.
Have you heard anything else than "Take This Life" from them?
I don't like Dragonforce because it's all just guitar wanking over and over again. They're just a guitar wanking version of Rhapsody and all they have sounds the same with the same cheap lyrics.
And the metal version of "The Devil...", I like it.
But when you recomend metal, it's idiotic to recomend an artist who's not even an established artist yet!
He only has 2 recorded songs and they're both covers and made for GH3!
I like the GH game series and I think they have decent soundtracks, I'm just saying that it's moronic not listening to anything else!
So many people go "I totally love Sonic Youth/David Bowie/Rush, the song that's on GH pwns!" and all they have heard is the song that the artist have on that game.
It's really narrow minded.
And yes, you seem to be one of those since every single post of yours in the music section here on AF is GH related.

(First a little bit off topic:
Swiss?
Country - Sweden
A person who's from Sweden is a Swede.
A Swede is Swedish.)
Well, saying it's good because it's high on a list is like saying Britney Spears or any other artist that has been on a music billboard is interesting.
Just because it's a hit it doesn't mean it's good.
Listen to some other stuff from In Flames which is not from Come Clarity (I recomend Whoracle or Clayman) and see if you still stay with your opinion.
Compared to their other work, Come Clarity is about as interesting as a banana.
And it being Swedish, doesn't make it more interesting than any other band from any other country (although I admit that Sweden has a powerful music scene).
So it's not like In Flames is the only metal act from Sweden, they're just one of the most exported ones.
And just to add my top 5 list since I haven't done that.
1) Opeth
2) Finntroll
3) Nevermore
4) Metallica
5) Strapping Young Lad
Honorable mentions to Freak Kitchen, Katatonia and Rammstein.
I didn't feel I could put them on the list as they're not really metal... More like hard rock.
Whoa, whoa, whoa. The only In Flames you'll ever need is The Jester Race (its found packaged with the Black Ash Inheritance EP, which is solid and worth if not for "Goliath Disarms Their Davids" and "Acoustic Medley" alone). Whoracle is just a big rip off of the Jester Race.
Hey don't forget Dance Of December Souls and Brave Murder Day! Yeah I love my death doom.
Ok "Take This Life" is catchy but that's it. I didn't love anything past Whoracle and although there may be a few catchy songs like "Only For The Weak", the majority of their newer work is pretty sub par to my ears.
Now most In Flames fans love their newer work and don't like their older work. Us people are a lot more into Melodic Death Metal than you guys are and that's ok.
I'll give you another example. Soilwork have drastically changed their sound since Steel Bath Suicide. Now I liked their first two albums for speed but their breakthrough album was Natural Born Chaos. Just because I'm not in love with that album doesn't mean it's crap. Soilwork have continued to change and most people like/don't mind their new direction.
Sooooo to conclude, In Flames were a lot better back in their more Melodic Death Metal days. I call their newer stuff Metalcore and that says a lot. Come Clarity is an album that spins in my house, I listen to it, I'm happy with it but it isn't their best album by far. I so don't give a damn how many people like it and I know that most more extreme metal fans will agree with me [Metalcore so isn't metal and that's it period].

Of course I haven't forgotten Katatonia's early stuff, I love it, but I still judge them from their current style which is more doom/hard rock oriented.
Which is why I don't put them in a metal list even though early Katatonia is death/doom.
Come Clarity spins every now and then here as well, and I've never said that it's bad album or a bad song in general, I'm comparing it to In Flames other stuff.
I liked them a lot more when they were a lot more melodeath aimed, but I still like them.
I'm looking forward to their new album to see what they've coming with this time.
My main point isn't really what's better of melodeath bands newer or earlier work, but that Hecticmanic who I assume only have heard that one single song (Take This Life) on Guitar Hero, can just go around and shout that the band rules.
It's idiotic.
It's like when I first heard the Mastodon song named Blood And Thunder on the movie soundtrack of Alone In The Dark.
I didn't go "OMGZ!!!1!! MAZT0DON RUWLZ 4LL!!!!" just after that song.
I got their albums and started listening through before I actually made up an opinion on them.
It's the same the other way, hearing one song from a band and saying that they suck, it's just so horribly pathetic.
And from what it seems, Hecticmaniac has not heard any music that's not on a GH soundtrack and therefore he should not go "z0mg! Your lizt sucks!" to Sataned without giving any reason for it.
No, this is no defence of Sataned who basically did the same when posting his list.
But it annoys me how narrowminded some people become when they play too much Guitar Hero.
And yes, I have friends who are/were like that as well, but at least they widened their horizon by listening to other stuff I gave them from for example Oingo Boingo and Megadeth.
I liked all of their albums, especially the first few. You can't make that kind of judgement unless you've heard all of their albums.
But I just listened to come clarity and It's mostly crap.
Oh and those two songs you've mentioned where bonus' on that album. I don't see why it's any less worth buying with them on it.
I've given a run-through of most of their studio albums, namely The Jester Race/Black Ash Inheritance, Whoracle, and Come Clarity as those are the only ones I actually own. I can honestly say The Jester Race was the only one thats impressed me, Colony and Clayman might grow on me though, maybe I should get my hands on those again...
Anyway, I was saying The Jester Race was re-released in 2002 with the 1997 EP Black Ash Inheritance, and that people should look this re-release up because the EP is very solid and compliments the rest of the album nicely.
Arsis > In Flames, anyway.
You should definately listen to lunar strain, and subterranean. I've grown to like those albums the most, along with Jester race/black ash inheritance EP. I think their stuff after whoracle was relatively crappy compared to their earlier other stuff, but still very good relative to many other bands.
Arsis... i've heard one song, which I rather liked. "Maddening disdain". Can't make a judgement on whether or not they are better than in flames in an objective way, from what i've heard of them.
"Truth, joy, and love. The three are interchangeable"
