I think it was already subbed when it was on cartoon network, And you can also buy it subbed. Ive actually never heard it in japanese.

Of course he is. Kurama himself stated he picked Hiei as his partner because he was the one person he wouldn't want to fight (or it might be the other way around, damn I haven't seen it in ages, lol) but you get the point. Kurama and Hiei work hand in hand. I enjoy him as a character, confident and always one to anatomize the situation and exploit his opponents' weakness.
