It's that time of year again!!! The annual Holiday Wallpaper Contest is upon us with all it's CG glory. This year is special because it is a joint contest with Wallpapers and Fan Art. First, the wonderful artists had a contest to draw some art. The winner of the Fan Art contest will the the topic/muse of our wallpaper contest.

Your mission, if you choose to accept it: Make a wallpaper featuring the holiday art of the Fan Art contest winner, ProjectVirtue.

Rules:
- you must use the image provided in this thread. What you do with it and how you design the wallpaper is up to you!
- no collab walls this time.
- size: within reason
- dimensions: At least 1024x768, larger and widescreen are welcomed!
- please keep this thread as spam-free as possible.
- "ProjectVirtue" MUST be on the wallpaper. Remember, it's important to cite the artist.

Deadline is Dec 23rd at midnight (EST, US East Coast).

Very impressive fan art. Seems almost unreal to be honest, but what do I know. Anyway, heres my entry because i would forget to do it if I waited. Also, if its any compensation, I will make larger scaled versions if anyone plans on using it.

Yeah, I'm having problems downloading the file - it keeps giving me an RAR file, which is refusing to open in Photoshop. I don't know what I'm doing wrong...

you will need to extract it with winrar (it's like a zip file, but better). it's a free program.

As for 1st/2nd and pooky's choice being the same: If you have followed my contests for the last few years, you will notice that they have never been the same. What can I say? I like having a lot of winners. I'm not big on one person dominating. Also, Pooky's Choice is usually based on theme, not CGing experience. So, a lot of beginners have won simply because they have a nice theme.

It shouldn't need to be that large. Image Attachments can handle really large images. Try making it a png file.

geta? The issue with them is that some countries are really particular about sending items that are made with natural materials. For example, my friend sent something back to Aussie once and it was rummaged through because it had some straw weave decoration thingy in it. But if it's packaged... I was thinking either anime related or something like a bento set or magazine (cosplay, CG, anime, etc). Also, i'm heading to the big end of the year comic con in Tokyo next week.

Well I'm sure whatever it is you decide to give as a prize, we'd all appreciate it. I mean, normally, we don't even get any prizes (aside from points and banners of course.) for these contests so knowing that one is coming in the mail, no matter what it is, is okay enough for us. Or at least for me.^^;
