The classic Disney animation movies were much more touching than the average anime. Disney doesn't animate so much anymore though. Disney is more invested in children and comedy though, anime is invested in melodrama for adolesents

hmm there is a decent thead in here - but turn off caps lock please, there is no need to post all in captals.
Also, anime is an entier industry of differnet anime produces and genres, whilst Disney is only one western animation company, granted they are (or rather were) one of the best, but its rather unfair to pitch one producer against a whole industry.
Rather, I have often seen Disney and Ghibli compared with many saying that the latter are the better animaters and story tellers. I would beg to differ and say that Disney and Ghibli are both great animation groups that take very different views; for example Ghibli does not use musicals and rather presents - in general, but not every time - complete stories as if they were in a real world - no musicals -- whilst Disney takes a different approach.

Hmm...the caps are off...it is the side of the font that makes it look like it is all in capital...
Anyways.. Overwatch is right...Walts Disney is just one, compare to just say Japanese animation which is the product of a bunch of industries...I cannot pick from both...yeah, yeah I like anime but so Walts Disney comes out with animes too such as "Spirited away", It is an anime, made by a japanese guy, but still it has Disney on the cover...hahaha, anyways, Disney is a huge company and japanese animation is a whole industry...so, now I am confused. Uh... I will chose Disney... over Japanese animation... even though I love animes, I am still fan of some movies from Disney..

YAY... It appear that BOREDOM strikes quite often!!

Spirited Away (and the rest of Ghibli) only got the Disney logo because Ghibli wanted a larger western release of its media after the runaway success of Spirited Away - and Disney obliged to release the whole works on DVD in the west - though I hear the the head of Ghibli sent head of Disney a sword with the words "no cuts" on a lable - indecating that he wanted absolutly nothed edited out of the works - something I am very glad happened. The DVDs also got -where needed - new english dubbing as well.

It all depends on the viewers preference. Disney animation has never really been compelling, to me. It's all childish, and unentertaining. I don't like shows, of any genre/style that don't make me think. At least a little.

The style is sometimes lambasted by critics and fans of anime and limited animation alike, for a number of reasons, such as the idea that the "Americanization" of anime is untrue to original Japanese works.[7] Critics say works whose style tries to emulate anime are insulting to "true" anime (which is made in Japan) and the many concepts imitated are not easily explainable in English animation. It is often called "fauxnime" by critics and fans alike. Other common terms include imitation anime. [8] A simpler more generic term, "fusion," has also arisen, while the new term "Amerime" more specifically describes the style. There has also been criticism about fans who accept animation from Japan but turn down "anime-influenced" animation from America or Western countries just because it was not made in Japan or other Eastern countries. Likewise, some fans of western animation have criticised this newer fad as being used to create animation quickly and cheaply rather than using the perceived fluid and detailed animation seen in regular western styles prevalent in most feature films (most notably Disney), animated shorts produced during the The Golden Age of Hollywood animation, as well as many televised late 80s-mid 90s cartoon series.

o_O Are you serious? Um nu. Just nu. I have also seen old-school disney-it's what I grew up with and yes, while it is nice, it failed to make me sob for hours because my favorite characters died or because my favorite couples got together after so much hardship and sacrifice or maybe just because a character is sobbing over something themselves...

Anime characters feel WAY more real than Disney ones because they have a lot more time to develop.

Thus I'd have to disagree with your statement completely.
