Final Fantasy (In general, but my favourites are - FFXII, FFVI, FFVIII, FFTA, FFIV), Pokemon (Red for being the first AND best, Diamond for having awesome gameplay, Shadow games for being something new and inventive), Magical Starsign.
Yeah, I still have fond memories of my Pokemon Blue. Something about the original 150 that makes me enjoy them more than any new characters. Diamond was a good new start for the series and all the stuff you could do with it was awesome.Originally Posted by Nanao Ise
Magical Starsign just couldn't pull me in. Not sure what it was, but I just couldn't get into it. For me there aren't any great RPG's yet for the DS since they keep making mistakes. But I'm hoping with Final Fantasy 4 and Dragon Quest 4 coming thats about to change.

Yeah, the whole beginning of it all, Red and Blue (never had Blue myself), just brought something completely fresh to my gaming world. Pity Diamond's story was rather...lame. I know Pokemon isn't known for amazing storylines, but Diamond's was pretty poor.

Yes, so true. I have more fond memories of my SNES RPG's than anything else. BUT, don't forget new cutscenes, updated music, since FF12 was mostly the 4 soundtrack, and other things. But Dragon Quest is the main one I'm looking at. One of the best stories I've ever seen, and the start of a great trilogy. Trust me, DQ5 is one of the best RPG's ever. Final Fantasy games are the best for me. I love 7 the most.
I'm so in love with Suikoden I, II, III, IV, V and Tactics. They're the greatest, I've been playing it for 5 years already. I just won't get bored playing it again and again. Suikoden is the best 80++ hours game.
Final Fantasy X and X-2 are great too. But I prefer FFX-2 more~.

Well...my favorite RPG or ARPG game should be Grandia III, by Square-Enix. The great series of Grandia, the game is fabulous and it's PS2 only.

The original Pokemon series was the first real RPG I ever played. I never really played any of the FF series that came after V, and my only real FF experience was with FFX which sucked so bad.
For my current stuff:
*Mass Effect -- It's the best blending of RPG elements and full action combat. I've only played a tiny bit and it's already on my must haves list.

Lot’s everything from Baldur’s Gate to Vampire the Masquerade and Final Fantasy. Lately it’s been Gothic III and KOTOR but the most and one of the best RPG's I played so far was World of Warcraft. There's just nothing better then making your own character in a more living/evolving world.

Well I am a massive fan off all RPGs! I am really getting into Pokemon, but I am afraid I am a fan on Pokemon Diamond, I am really getting into it!
I also turned my back on FFXII after months of hard-core playing.. it is just taking way too long to complete. I do really appriciate the fact that iti s a vast and caried game with A LOT of side quests but I am finding the gamepaly really tiresome. With all of my gambits it is literally just walking around and bumping into monsters while my characters just attach (etc) without much of my input! I really do enjoy most FF games but this is a bit of a let-down. Oh and I can never tire od FFVII, it is awesome! Can play that game again and again and never get bored
