If you need help with depression, you should see a professional. As a rule of thumb, random strangers on the internets are generally not qualified to help you.

The wrong suggestion at the wrong time can have catastrophic consequences. There are two things laymen should stay the hell away from, electricity and the medical sciences (including mental health.) Because the potential to do harm in either one far outweighs the potential to do good.

I am sorry. I do not his state of mind so I realy cant help or give any advise except for to go to the mental hostpital to get help.

Then that doctor was an incompetent idiot, see another, better one. You could also try talking to a crisis hotline (they are generally a lot better equipped to handle these situations than a board of random strangers on the internet). Some googling turned up these guys, I suggest you try calling them.

The best trick is to run away, by run away I mean go to a place that is totally different from your own, maybe Iraq or Zimbabwe. But that is just my advice, so don't hold me responsible if something bad happens.

I would stress that just because one doctor could not help you that does not mean that there is one that cannot. Doctors are human at the end of the day and some are better than others - try again please.

Okay.. Depression can be helped by talking with others, professional or not, as long as the other is careful to Listen more then yak. I should know, I've helped people through it many a time.

As for this thread, I would think it's considered spam. But I'm not as cold hearted as many an other, so I wont report it.

And yes, you should see a NEW professional, if any previous ones haven't helped. Another tip is to keep your mind busy on other things. Start a craft project or something. In my own experience I duct taped a shoe box and stabbed the hell out of it. Then duct taped it again.

That's just ignorant in so many ways. Unless you're criminally insane, psychotic, or otherwise pose a grave threat nobody's locked up in mental institutions anymore. This isn't the 1960's.

This is also exactly why xssence should be talking to a doctor or a crisis hotline, instead of a forum on the intertubes.
