The game has a 2 GB minimum RAM requirement, and a DX10 512 MB minimum video card requirement. It's insane lol. I'm not even sure why it's so demanding. When you look at videos, it doesn't look much higher quality than something like Battlefield 2.
I'm not sure if I want to play, but if I had the system, and somebody gives me the game for free, maybe I would.

In case any of you want to correct, question, comment on, or suggest anything to me regarding my translations or use of Japanese, please do. My sources of learning have all been listening to people and kinda forcing my brain to interpret, rather than actually translate like a dictionary. I understand I'll make many mistakes (I'd be surprised if I translate something mistake-free) but you have to understand that I'm doing my best.
Are you serious or blind? Compare physics, water, textures, locals everything.
Currently got this on a 1280x1024 res and med settings and have a frame skip from time to time - only thing preventing me from playing it on max settings is my processor, it seems a AMD 64bit 4000 isn't enough for that. Game itself is great and so is the perks of your suit, not too fond of the AI and their reactions.
mine can run it, but i need to update my processor. Mine is to slow to run it. Sigh, can't afford an expensive processor. Plus the game looks fun, but is it worth paying so much to update to play a game that you are going to forget aboot in a year.
Heh, not trying to defend BF2 or anything. It's a good game, as I said, and maybe I'd like playing it. But like you already mentioned, it's not worth having to up your specs just for one game. Heck, nobody's really even talking about it much. I would never have heard of this game had not those videos sprung up, showcasing the game's pseudo-splendor.
The only thing it really has up on BF2 is the fact that the overhead view can see everything in detail, which is probably the reason for the high system requirements. The game typically allows you to see miles into the distance without cheating by blurring it out, forcing your card to not have to draw anything out of range. But who needs that, really? You wouldn't shoot at something you see a mile away, even if your weapon were accurate to that range or more.
Oh and they did make more models for their maps, rather than just recycling buildings, crates, towers and other things like BF2 annoyingly did. Props to them for that.
- edit: Okay I made a mistake. The official system requirements for RAM isn't as high as I was originally told (my friend told me their recommended settings were their minimum requirements). But still, they did a lot of unnecessary things graphics-wise, in what seems to be an attempt to force you to upgrade your machine.

Nothing runs Crysis on very high atm. Sure maybe a vmodded watercooled 8800Ultra might but who's going to do that? This game is awesome nonetheless.
I say wait for Quadfire or Triple SLI [with the 8800GTX] but when Skulltrail comes a long, it will win for sure.
