FFx and FFx-2

what did you like best about these games and what did you like least?



I've already played FFx and am currently about halfway through FFx-2.

I love the whole dresspheres and garment grides(ffx-2) love the way battles were set up in ffx, dislike the weird sorta real time sorta something else way to battle in ffx-2, love the story lines in both and dislike the constant random repetiive battles in both.

I so like the 2nd one a little better.I like how you can change dresspheres while batteling and that when you go trough all the dresspheres on your grid,you can use your special dressphere.Its totally awsome.

What I don't like is how low they lowered the monsters levels,health,mp,etc.
On there.The leves are totally different from the 1st one.

x2 was fun, but I just love the storyline in the first.

In x-2 I like the battles and storyline also the grids.

I like the battle system in both versions, but found the sphere grid to be unwealdy, too large to really plan where you were going, and not as much choice as to where you were going -- I was not a fan, a good idea with a few bugs in it. As for x-2, I like the dress sphere system and the battle system;, I was, however, sevearly dissapointed with the quality of the storyline presented, especailly for a final fantasy. I mean Yuna with guns looks cool, but why is Yuna using guns? when did she become a marksman (woman) - Riku with guns makes sense, Yuna no.
X-2 will always be to me the result of a cross between Charlie's Angels and FFX

X2 Battle System was fun, since they sort of added some intensity by taking away the turned based battles, but then It got harder to be strategic.

I liked both of them. IN X I like the story.It was really great. I more like the battle system in X-2. It was good, but it does not get to the potencial. I mean this sphere grinds was maked for some tactic reason, but I can win the battle without chanegeing it. I like when Yuna change it remainds me of Sailor Moon.

I like both but I prefer FFX for the awesome storyline. FFX2 is, well, I don't like the ending. Tidus only appears at the end of the game, that is, if you complete it 100%.

FFX is so much better than FFX-2. The story is much better, which should be the most important aspect of any video game. Even though the voice acting and writing are terrible, it's still better.

I'm a fan. I really like FFX but I never had the chance to complete it due to the fact that Aeon battles are hard to me, I mostly spend time on Warriors and Mages because I never knew there was a role Yuna. And that screwed me up quite a bit, so I sticked to the Videos on youtube. As for FFX-2. It was good, but the different outfits threw me off quite a bit.

The first one was best. I beat it like ten times already. I realy like the boss fighting. At first I hate getting into battles every five steps. I love the story to it. I wish it had a less sad part to the ending.other than that its good.

Story wise, I didn't like either of them.

Battles were too easy in FFX. After a decent amount of play, you could plan a battle like a easy chess match. Always 5 or six steps ahead of the enemy.

Battles in FFX2 were ok. Although it was real time, (Which could be edited a bit in options to be turn-based like FF7) it wasn't as exciting as I hoped.

I hate the way equipment were in both. I mean, FF7 was great because of its materia system, the balancing of materia to define what your characters can do. I'm too used to being able to that or something like that (MMOs, Oblivion, ect). FFX2 tried that with dressspheres but somehow it didn't work out. Or at least for me. FFX had hardly any equipment (Weapon and personalize gear?) and you really didn't get to follow your own path on the sphere grid till at least mid-game unless you found KeySphere lvl3 and 4s early on.

Well, I've almost completed FFX and once I do, I'll start on FFX-2. The storyline and all that in FFX was pretty decent but I didnt like all the constant battles >.> I mean if they were harder battles and you got some useful stuff and a nice big chunk of EXP, then they'd be okay but its just a bunch of repeatative battles that you've done 100 times and can win in about 3 moves. The other thing that got on my nerves a bit is when your team would have to be separated, due to getting lost, imprisoned, or some of them just cant swim -.- That got a little annoying becuase I was sometimes forced to use characters that I had never really put much effort into strengthening them up.

Those were really the only things I found wrong so far in FFX, havent played FFX-2 yet, but I will as soon as I finish FFX ^.^

I think ffx-2 killed ffx. I cried twice while playing ffx. My favorite thing about it is the story, I wonder how people come up with this kinda stuff.

I stole/borrowed x-2 from my friend and I am now addicted to it. I love the clips and stuffs, so now I have to get X to see the story line^^(plus i'm stuck in x-2 and can't kill the boss)

I like X.. It's story line is great, as is the "level" system in it.. I enjoyed it alot.. I still play it sometimes..

which boss is it? i can probably help. I beat ffx-2 3 times.

I love FF-X myself, X-2 however, I barely made it through the opening credits before I decided there was no way I could play the game. It just seemed a little bit shoddy when you consider the Final Fantasy empire, and all the great games it's produced..

She wasn't shy. Yuna felt that she had no need to express herself or make close relations with anyone because of what happens after the pilgrimage.

I think they should make a FFX game about all the stuff that happened 1000 years ago. It seems interestion. After all, FFX is so much better than FFVII In my opinion anyway

In FFX the storyline was good. It had some nice twists. There were lots to do and the new summon system was cool. However one big disappointment was that the actual character animation wasn't particularly well done. e.g. when they are talking they might repeat the same over-exaggerated gesture or in battle when someone is knocked up into the air and fall back down upside down, as soon as they hit the ground they are up the right way again. Its things like that that make the game less believable to me.

In X-2 the battle system is amazing and there's even more to do than in FFX. The plot is weak though and it has a lot of holes in it IMO.
