How does one live after this? Is it possible that the whole world has gone totally nuts, totally mad - or is there something I have missed

The movie industry makes yet another bad movie. They make hundreds of them every year, one worse than the next.

Keep watching, the old style animation I could live and enjoy, its the CGI dragons that get me -- why after so much effort to animate did they do that?

The tailer was pretty bad. I mean they used two different styles trough each other. Its like they took the old anime show and edited it so it would look like they are fighting 3D drangons. They probably cant think of anything better. but i mean.. that tailer was just crap

According to the trailer, it's going straight to DVD. That's when you know it's bad, when it doesn't even deserve a theatrical release. At least the studio is saving us from having to ignore it at the theatres. Now we can ignore it on the shelves. YaY!!

ooops - I might have burnt down our local cinema to avoid it comming near me - so I now have to burn down every DVD shop - that might take longer.

I agree, I cannot understand why they merged the two different forms of animation. I mean I the CGI was done extremely well they might have been able to carry off the effect, Sky Blue did this well; but the styles they use are totally different. And they had to be planning to do it from the start, otherwise why would the dragon image be left out of the animation?

It's been a long time since I've read Dragonlance books now, but I still remember the old wizard guy, Raistlin xD
If I'm going to watch this, it's only to see him being voiced by Kiefer Sutherland.

it looked like thundercats meets up with an animator with way too much time and harddrive on his hands....

i can truthfully say that i can do better (which is sort of sad...)

oh well, im glad my imagination is such a wonderful place because my version of the story looks better....

on the bright side, we can now torture our friends with dvds, just lock them in the living room tied down and strapped to a chair with they're eyes taped open. they might even crack and buy whatever really what for christmas instead of the blow-up doll they where planning to humilate you with!

wow.. This has driven my esteem of the film industry to an all new low..

And they have an actual site for that crap.. geez, they most have some really hardcore fans.. the trailer was bad enough, but the DVD must be like a self torure routine..

When I saw that trailer I thought, "hm, has to be going to DVD.", and apparently, as I scrolled down this page, I was right. I dont know anything about the Dragonlance series but it must have been better to read then to watch.

The 2D animation style does remind me of the old animated movie Heavy Metal though. That was a cool movie for its time. But now animated movies need to be more advanced or at least consistant with there styles. The CGI animation at times looked ok but over all it looked too low tech. It sorta looks like they rushed through the making of it.
