Mine favourites would be Emperor, Windir, Enslaved, Summoning, Embraced, Ancient, Anorexia Nervosa, Astriaal, Diabolical Masquerade, Beelzebul, Catamenia, Enoid, Illnath, Immortal, Limbonic Art, Morgul and Graveworm

I like Agalloch and that's about it, since most other Black Metal is boring, repetitive, garbage. At least Agalloch has some awesome melodics and awesome rhythms without that cliche 1000 note per millisecond guitar solos.

i didn't catch this earlier because i was only looking for responds with actual lists of bands but ...

well first things first agalloch (a great band) isnt infact black metal its Atmospheric Folk metal
second if you think black metal is boring, repetitive, garbage don't post in this thread this is for fans of the genre not haters

I see how you got that idea. xD However, no. I like nsbm, don't agree with the lyrics, but theres nothing truly different between black metal and nsbm soundwise.

im with you as well i also like nsbm but i could care less about the lyrics that involve racism but as im sure you know lots of nsbm bands tend to sing about Pagan beliefs and traditions that part i actually like the parts that sing of the vikings and such other wise i could care less

He's allowed to voice his opinion, even if it one of hate. Black Metal does sometimes have bands that really make albums that are simply some form of Burzum/Immortal/Mayhem/Darkthrone/Enslaved/Bathory worship, really just ripping off the classics and making it super lo-fi. Though when the genre is good, its pretty much above everything else.

Favourite NSBM? Well, some people count Burzum, and he'd definitely be my favourite if he counts. I also really enjoy Graveland, Kroda, Nokturnal Mortum, and Drudkh(?).

hell yeah finist rocks all the way but as odd as this sounds its actually not nsbm although there are elements of black metal especially in Awakening its nspm lol thats right nation socialistic power metal sounds odd but ive listened to all their releases over and over in the past years and well that sound is just there. + its classified as power metal on their metal archives account/ this has been discussed on other message boards so yeah but i see how people can get it mixed with black metal giving the fact their soul member is Saturious creator/members of Nokturnal Mortum and about seven other black metal bands
and images from the band like this don't really help them out

the typical black and white photos of members wearing corps paint in front of churches and such.

Think that's mostly it.
Not really that much of a black metal fan, but I have a certain taste for it.
Sometimes all I listen to is black metal, other times I don't listen to it for weeks.

But nothing is like a really nice black metal act live.
So hopefully it'll be the Inferno Festival again this year, last year was a blast and I was at a nachspiel with a lot of the bands.
That was interesting, we found out that Abbath (Immortal) wants to do a Abba cover song, preferably "Dancing Queen" xD

I don't know, sometimes I can't even tell Rock from Metal, but it doesn't really matter to me I like all Metal, except if they mix rap with it.
