So I am in a US-Japan relations class and my groups presentation is on Japanese pop-culture. Low and behold, I get assigned to find out everything I can about anime and sanrio. baller.


So, wondering...

Can you guys suggest any good sites with a history of anime or maybe important things/topics within anime I should include? ( or maybe what the best series that are important to mention ) thanks

Wikipedia is usually a good place to start...
the trick is to use its "References" section at the end of the article as a starting point for ur search...and then "snowball" from there (i.e. use wiki's references to find even more source articles)

You surf. Lots. Preferably wikis, since they have more links per square inch then anything else. Most good web surfing is done late night, when you should be sleeping, but aren't. Then, when you awake the next day, you find a few new entries in your favorites that you can only vaguely recall. It's like Christmas; only instead of presents you get worthless links that are mildly amusing.

Usually, I have no idea how I arrive at these sites. Uncyclopedia was special enough that I actually recall finding it via a link on the Wikipedia page for You have two cows (an ancient meme).
