to be seriously honest, there is no point in liking them if they told you specifically that they DON'T like you...you just need to move on no one should be that wrapped up in a person and not even knowing if they feel the same way for you or not. that seems to me like the person is just being desperate.

Well then you have two options... Get over them, or continue to like them in the hope that one day they may return your affections. I prefer to go for the 'get over' option.
