[Kaitou Ace]

Composition and camera skill should count for more then post-production/photoshop work, so please vote accordingly ^_^

Poll closes on the 26th, and congratulations to all the finalists, and thanks to everyone who entered the contest. There were a lot of good entries this time around, and it was hard making the choice down to the final five. I liked a lot of the images that were submitted. ^_^.

I felt candles were a bit overdone and I really liked the composition of the second. The way the light is sparkling...or appearing to sparkle, is quite lovely. And that is why I chose it. There were too many b/w photos and while I think that can work in some situations, I felt it was a bit overused for this.

The photos were quite good. I think that sometimes B&W is overused. The last one uses it well because there is strong contrast and depth. I think that if it was in color, it wouldn't be as dramatic. Some other ones could be done in color or in b&w, so b&w doesn't make it anymore dramatic and can sometimes take out essential color elements and details.

The composition is really nice. Usually the grain makes the photo look bad, but in this case it gives it a creepy feeling while B&W gives an older look ^_^
