My first assignment!

Yay. So this was all about apertures for my Photography class. I know the scene is a bit silly, but I liked it. The settings I used are listed in order.

1st: aperture 8, shutter speed 1/8s.
2nd: aperture 5.6, shutter speed 1/30s.
3rd: aperture 4, shutter speed 1/60s.
4th: aperture 2.8, shutter speed 1/125s.
5th: aperture 1.8, shutter speed 1/250s.

Very nice, and a good example of what aperture does ^_^ I'd guess a 50mm lens?

I like the blurry effect you shoot. And I'm thinking the slipper's the main focus, no? Just guessing. X3
The last shoot is nice. I like the black effect around the corner.
And sorry, I don't speak camera language. (ahahahaaaa... XP )

Cap ... I guess you need an eyes examination >__>; Check the left bottom part ... Closer objects gets blurry with a high aperture, as the far ones too. That's the so called depth of field.

Before I comment, please define apertures.

The only thing I hate about high apertures (and poor lenses) is the darkish part you get around borders.

I like these photos, well done. I like the scene, actually. However, I would like to see more of the faucet, and not the counter in the right corner. That's just me though. <3 Well done over all though.

You'd have to actually go through the pictures to notice them. It's a gradual change in depth of field and the warmth of color, with the smaller apertures (the amount of light your camera lets into the lense) it has a deeper depth of field (more things being in focus rather than blurry) and a warmer color. With the bigger apertures, you start to get a cool tone and more things blurred out.

And yes, Iggy Pop. 50mm. I have yet to get my telescopic lense. Because I'm poor. *sniff*

Eh, I thought colour temperature (white balance) depends only on the light itself, not aperture. It looks like your camera got it right only at the f/8 shot.

Yeah, me too o_o; Somehow I have a feeling that something made change the white balance to your camera, cuz only the first photo is somehow warm, all other ones are cold.
Too bad there's no EXIF data in the photos

It doesn't just depend on the light itself. It depends on exposure as well. The length of exposure and the amount of light you let into the lens. You can change a lot of things just by using your camera, before ever using photoshop.

No it does not. It only depends on the characteristics of the light source (and, in this case - your film/scanner).

wow those are really realy good i like them i can kinda see the difference but with the color theres soo much white its hard to see much of a difference
