I have watched Dane Cook, I have heard his skits. It's harder to find clean ones than dirty ones.

There is a skit about pooping on coats. There is a skit about barfing and passing out. There are many skits about one night stands.

well i like dane cooks crude humor, i cant take everything too seriously otherwise id be stone throughout, same reason why i like comedic films and JTHM, if you try to critic ervrything then you wont enjoy it

I've only seen his comedy central special and a few other skits.
I find him funny, but it gets a little repetative, both his material and his way of telling it.
One of the really good things with Cook is that he's very energic on stage, his body language is very important to make his stories as good as they are.
The best I've seen with him was the movie "Employe Of The Month", I really liked that one.
So maybe he should focus a bit more on his acting career?

On the Bob Saget thing; He used to be funny, now he's just distasteful.
For those who find Cook distasteful has obviously not seen the latest material of Bob Saget.

The comedians of the newer generation I like the most must be Pablo Francisco and Stephen Lynch.
Pablo Francisco is a much better story teller than Cook in a lot of ways.
As one example; he has all the impressions he makes.

Lynch is unique, it's not a lot of singing comedians that's so impressive nowadays.
And just the way Lynch is, the way he uses contrasts as a part of his humor.
He has such a pretty voice, the guitar sound comes off so nice and the lyrics seem so innocent at first then he just turns all the way around and come with stuff that's so evil and disgusting that you just curl up and laugh yourself to death.

For the whole body fluid fun part; almost every comedian has a few skits that comes to that area and that you can't deny.
Only stand-up comedians I can't recall anything like that from is Denis Leary and Bill Hicks.
Although they're both more like social critics.

And as Grim Scythe says, if you take everything seriously, you can't enjoy a lot of things.

He only has about one main set, and only has a couple of variations to his normal set, but his delivery is pretty good. His jokes aren't funny at all, the content of his jokes is stupid and just not funny on their own. But his stage actions and eccentricities can make his jokes mildly funny. I do like his "The friend no one likes" thing, since my group has that friend.

I realized he was just a pervert and I would rather ignore him from then on.

XD I can hear it now, and it hurts. Badly.

Dane Cook is semi-funny; he's said some funny stuff, but not much. I'm not really into his super-energetic performances. He acts like he's on some kind of stimulant drug. It gets annoying.

There really aren't too many comedians I like, but there are a few:
1. Pablo Francisco - I love his impersonations. Especially Arnold Swarzenagger. Or however you spell it.

2. Bill Cosby - I guess old favorites never die. I've heard his "Fatherhood" performance a billion times, but it's still as funny as the first time I watched it.

I can't really stand Bob Saget; he was never funny to me, not on Full House and definately not now.

Dave Chapelle is alright. Same as Dane Cook to me, really.

in my opinion, bob saget is rather corny.
the only thing that has to do with bob saget that i find funny is the tourettes guy, when he uses bob saget in replace of a curse word.

a lot of comedians do repeat their jokes, as they do go to other venues and, if a joke works, of course they're going to want to please every crowd with it.

I find the baby punching joke noise quite funny.

"You will start-punching..[punch sound effect] waghhhhh (baby crying)" Oh, god I almost had a seizure the first time I heard that.

The guy's actually pretty smart. There was a heckler in the crowd during a Tourgasm[?] show. Finally, after the third time the heckler yelled out, Dane snapped. And he was completely serious, from the way he was shouting back to the guy. (I have his Retaliation two-disc/DVD set, and you can look this up on the first CD, Track 12 "The Chicken Sangwich, The Heckler, and The Kabbash") Anyway, when the heckler stopped cat-calling, there was an awkward pause. But Dane then played it off with a joke, and all was right.

Not that what he did was awe inspiring. I just respect him for handling the situation as best he could in front of (probably) 1,000 spectators.
