Explicit?

Why is it, that in the Japanese version of anything released in America(namely: Anime, manga, art) are generally more explicit than the American versions? Just wondering, 'cause in Japan, I believe, a good majority of children get exposed to explicit material everyday, and that it's natural? I thank all that post a reply back, God Bless You!

We try to hard to shelter children in America. Apparently it's the government's job to raise our kids, not the parents. Personal responsibility seems a thing of the past in america. People don't commit crimes because they are bad people anymore, now a days they commit crimes because they listen to death metal and play violent video games.

I say its because nowadays people are just comminting crimes because of how much of idiots they are and if the goverment doesn't even try to put like a sort of lock on what we see and watch,that there would be even more chaos in the world than there is now but i say that the world is slowly dying anyway so like maybe it just doesn't matter anymore.
I guess because in Japan people aren't as foolish as Americans are.GOD I HATE AMERICA.

There are DVD's and Manga availble in their unrated/uncensored formats if someone wishes to see an unaltered version of an anime.

In terms of America monitoring what we watch and children being exposed to explicit images:

Even in America children are exposed to violence. Just watch the evening News or pick up a newspaper, there will be a story of violence/bloodshed somewhere. Television shows also stimulate explicit images in children (Cops, Desperate Housewives, etc.) be it sexual or violent.

I do agree that America tends to focus on video games, music, and animated shows more than sitcoms/dramas/news and content in printed media.

While I don't hate America (because other places are faring far worse than America) it does have its imperfections and annoyances.
