The states shut down?!

Well, I don't know if any of you are aware of this but:

If the Govener of Pennsylvania did not sign the budget paper by 12:01 sunday night...all state workers would be laid off. But of course, he didn't. The govener is selfish. He wanted more money for casinos so...my grandmother, uncle, aunt, and mother are all jobless.

My bestfriends mom (who has three kids) is jobless.

There were 25,000 state workers that are now unemployed!

Whats up with that?

So how long will 25,000 people have to go without paychecks for there families?

You said "if" so why are members of your family now unemployed due to this possible action? What party in power blocks their own budget O__O. Further more, this rather sly tactic is used by the opposition if they hold a majority to force the government [party in power] out of parliament. It is very rare that the goverment does not have the majority in both houses [referring to Australian politics]. So the question is, what are you talking about.

Seemed like a fairly simple statement to me... The way I see it...

IF he doesn't they don't get paid.
He didn't, so the IF become reality, and they aren't getting paid. Lookie...

well even if they do get their jobs back...they don't get paid for the time they won't get paid for the days they missed...

Basically the governor KNEW that the lack of his signature would put a good chunk of people unemployed, but he didnt sign it anyway. I cant imagine why something that important would be left up to the decision of some money hungry jerk. It should just be done! Thats a lot of people to have unemployed. Hopefully he'll be removed from his office and replaced.
