There was a sailor moon one I think but it wasn't that great...

A slave obeys.
Death Note really sucked. But I hear they're making an Inuyasha live action movie, which too will bomb. However, you want a really good manga-based movie? Oldboy.

Not really a movie based on anime or manga. This is thread I posted that has got to do with connections between Lynn Okamoto and George A Romero. Basically, Lynn Okamoto is a fan of George Romero's works!
Seriously, i think death note is kinda nice. The prince of tennis movie made me cry because I had expected it to be way better and it didn't, and that movie was worse than death note, in my opinion. Another manga turned movie i saw was nana.

I saw the movie to nana. It was pretty good. I love death note though so the movie to me was good. It was the first time i have seen a live action movie based on manga/anime.
I finished watching Great Teacher Onizuka the movie and it was pretty boring.
I saw a Prince of tennis movie.

An Inuyasha live action movie...something tells me this is going to be an atrocity.
A Challenge Letter to Shinichi Kudo (Live Action Movie of Detective Conan), Prince of Tennis (live action Movie)... Though these aren't really movies but short live action series based on manga, ya may wanna try/chk them out just the same^^:Hanazakari no Kimitachi e (based on manga of the same title by hisaya nakajo), and of course there's Hana Yori Dango I & II and Gokusen I & II... I hope that was helpful^^
