Anyone Know HTML or Geocities?

I'm trying to set up a web page to my and a friends fan fictions and fan art. I'm looking around for HTML tutorials or Geocities tutorials. Or if ANYONE knows about Geocities? Is it possible to get help?

What format? HTML doesn't come in formats.

No I can upload files onto Geocities, but even as an .CWK or .HTM they're invalid files. Either my cumputer which is 6 years out of date is doing it's normal job of screwing EVERYTHING up or I really need new way to up load files.

.CWK isn't something you'll want to upload anywhere, since browsers wouldn't be able to process it, but .HTM should work. Have you tried .HTML? Otherwise, I don't know what the problem is.

I'll give that a whirl. I'm using Appleworks. I don't know why, but it's the single most ********* program ever. I think whoever invented Macintosh wanted to **** EVERYONE the **** off by making it SO incompatable with everything else that's fun or useful.

.htm won't be no more compatible than .html. If you are uploading .htm files then there shouldn't be a formating problem unless it's not actually html. What does the error message even say?

Unspun, I think you overlooked the fact this guy is probably broke and/or cheap when it comes to webhosting (even if it does mean four dollars a month). But if you are willing to pay some cash I would say take a look at that site and also find a lot more valid webhosting sites. Also, a webhosting site not compating with html doesn't make sense to me. I would also say use solid css for your site if you can.

It says "INVALID FILE EXTENTION" for the .htm issue. If I was going to buy a web site, I'd most definately would get something that isn't brinks star, I'd go looking. Hey Azel, they host free sites too. Pay more attention. I have had a site with brinkster for years, they are MORE than credible to me.

Try making a page from scratch and then copying and pasting the code.
