Who needs love when you get marriage benefits?! I'd go with the not completely wrong, but closer to wrong than right.

No, not really at least if you're making money on your own and are living fine. But if you're really poor and smething might happen I guess it might be allright.
Very hard to think like this though...I don't really like the thought of marrying someone for money not love...that's just me though ^^;
People deside for themselves why they marry someone in the first place. I can't say that it's wrong but I can't say that it's right either. If you feel that it's right to marry someone because of the money, then it's right for you. If you feel that it's wrong, then it's wrong.
I'd never marry anyone for the money.
Marrying someone for the sole purpose of using their money, no, I would never do that. But for someone, if at some point down the line, security became more important than a romantic relationship, I don't see anything wrong with that as long as both people involved know exactly what's up.
A crazy amount of money isn't important to me. As long as the other person can support themselves, it's fine.

To answer the question. No I don't think it's right, unless you had absolutely no other choice. I think the only reason you should marry someone is because of the person, not their assets.
Tsk..I'd think it's a negative. Marrying just for the richness of someone isn't right.

not really cause it just shows that you're a gold digger
The idea isnt to find someone perfect, the idea is to find someone imperfect that's perfect in your eyes.
From what I notice a lot of your threads have been on the subject of love. That kinda concerns me. But to answer the question ;
No. Having too much money can really lead to a huge downfall. I've heard of so many lotto winners running into problems .....

Sure it is.
Throughout history rarely has marriage ever been just about love. The most prominent marriages are usually about political power and what each side could gain from the union. A lot of the times marriages are arranged without the two parties ever meeting before hand.
And the funny thing is that a lot of these marriages based on "love" tend to fail miserably in a few years once the initial infatuation wears off. They focus too much on that happy feeling and don't consider the other things that contribute to a good marriage. Yet many arranged marriages turn out to be relatively successful.
Personally I don't think I would marry someone just for money. I would have to love the person.

I would say no, I mean why would you want to marry someone when your not happy with them, but only because of the money....
Again, you have to think about what kind of person you're dealing with in this situation. While, I'd never marry a person just for the money, cuz' well.. I'd have to love the person in the first place.
But, as I know some of you have seen and/or heard, someone will marry someone for money instead of genuinely loving that other person, unfortunately.
(Thanks to Sushyisama <3)Anywho, I've remade my appearance again. <3[Btw Juushichi = 17 = 17th. Now you know.]
money isn't important and if there goes something wrong and that person lose all his/her money then you have nothing left and are married with someone that you don't love/like... but if you love someone then its word a try i think and almost everyone want to marry there love one instead of marry because he/she haves money
I am back from being gone
Thanks to my little sis Kiss of deathFam is in mine blog
Nah, it aint right, material things shouldnt get in the way of true love...
Just keep it "GROOVY"
Ahh...I guess it depend on your morals and blah, blah things. Meh? I dunno. Although love isn't everything, I still wouldn't marry just because the person is baggin', there's got to be an attraction at least! [< j/k Relationships don't really last just based on love without having any money, I mean come on, will you marry someone with not even a 100 dollar bill in their pocket??? no [if you say yes, you lie..liar] I think it's usually just money or a combination of both, but love it's self? nah...
No I don't think it's right to marry for money. It's just like you're the parasite and the spouse is the host. Marriage is all about love, trust, responsibility, faith and all that stuff, it's not solely about money. I would never marry someone for money even if I was poor, at least if you were poor, you'd be keeping your pride and self-respect. But then again, it's your life, do what you want. And again, I'd never marry someone for money. =]

hells ya, do some hot rich rich chick, and get half of her fortune hells ya, sure you may not like it, but who says you cant do what you dont like?
i like a guy but no merry for ever
Is it morally wrong? Of course.
Whether you do it to feed children or for any other reason, there really isn't a good justification.
Its like stealing, even if you steal to feed the hungry, stealing is stealing.
I guess that if its something necessary and it will cause more good than harm, then although you shouldn't, you should.
Am I making sense.
Its hard to make it out into words, ok hows this:
Its the intentions that count. Well, for the most part.
Also, just because you shouldn't doesn't mean you can't.
I get the feeling this will confuse a few of you...
it doesn't really matter if it's morally right or not, it happens all the time. it just sort of depends on how you want your life. i might marry for money but not if i loved someone else. if i happend to love no one and i could stand to be around the guy then i may marry for money...
Well if you're smart like Anna Nicole Smith your husband will die within a couple of years and you can have his mula and then really fall in love.
