I concur with the statement, "everybody lies". I don't know everybody let alone know about their personal lives when it comes to trustworthiness.

Well, I can't say. There must be like 1 billion people in the US, maybe even more.. so there's a possibility that there is at least 20%, whether less or more of the population that doesn't lie. I do believe that MORE than 50% of the population do lie.

Some people has to lie as well for their jobs.. like lawyers for their clients.

well that depends. If you mean the truest sense of the definition, any sort of falsehood, then yes, everybody and their mother lies. If you're referring to falsehoods that only hurt, (ignoring surprise parties and the like) and are only used to deceive with negative intentions, (as some people really only consider those to be true lies) then no, I believe some people don't, but in this day and age, they are few and far between.

About something big, or something small.
It's still a lie. And everyone does it.
Not big of a deal if it's just a little lie, of course, so your not a bad or good person if you lie about something small, and even if you did lie about something big. It doesn't exactly label you as a bad person.

Sad as it is to admit, I do lie. I dont like to but sometimes people like to avoid bad things from happening to them or others. Theres some people I feel I cant ever lie to. I havent lied to them yet that I know of, but fear I will someday.

But as to the question if everybody lies. I think everyone has made a lie at some point in there life. Either to avoid embarassment, showing weakness, hiding the truth from others, to protect others, or just straight out to keep their sorry self out of jail.

I guess its a natural instinct. Either a child refusing to admit they broke the stereo, or an elderly person saying they feel fine when they know there time has come.

We should try to accept people for there mistakes as long as thats what they are. And accept them in general so they dont have to fear embarassment or not being accepted at all.

And to go even further... our countries need to stop lieing to there people and tell them whats going on, even if they cant handle it, its better then hiding it. Bring it out into the open and then everyone will feel just a little better. Financial problems? Tell us and we'll work it out as a whole. Bombed the wrong "terrorists hideout"? Well lieing wont make you look any more smarter. Werent any weapons of mass destruction? If you would have done your homework right then you wouldnt have had to lie now, wouldnt you? Hiding alien ships and technology from the rest of the populus? Tell us about it and we might just look at is as a means of humanity evolving to something better.

i do not agree that it is human nature,i will agree that it is a learned reflex based off the social structure that humans have created but the actual act of lying only becomes a natural reflex once one has learned to believe it is in their own self interest to tell untruths

Yup. Everybody do lie. Specially if your hiding something, or getting out of trouble. Any person lies at least once of 5 times, right? That's our nature.

Everybody lied and everybody will lie. I lie, and i am often very sorry when i do. I try not to, but it just leaves my mouth and hurts somebody . I mostly lie to cover somebody or to help him, but it always ends up worse then the truth would.
