Haiku and other poems

Haiku (俳句, Haiku?) listen (help·info) is a mode of Japanese poetry, the late 19th century revision by Masaoka Shiki of the older hokku (発句, hokku?), the opening verse of a linked verse form, haikai no renga. The traditional hokku consisted of a pattern of approximately 5, 7, 5 on. The Japanese word on, meaning "sound", corresponds to a mora, a phonetic unit similar but not identical to the syllable of a language such as English. (The words onji,moji (character symbol) are also sometimes used.) A haiku contains a special season word (the kigo) representative of the season in which the renga is set, or a reference to the natural world. ("sound symbol") or
Haiku usually combines three different phrases, with a distinct grammatical break, called kireji, usually placed at the end of either the first five or second seven morae. In Japanese, there are actual kireji words. In English, kireji is often replaced with commas, hyphens, elipses, or implied breaks in the haiku. These elements of the older haiku are considered by many to be essential to haiku as well, although they are not always included by modern writers of Japanese "free-form haiku" and of non-Japanese haiku. Japanese haiku are typically written as a single line, while English language haiku are traditionally separated into three lines.

*Laters*
A withered old leaf
Separated in two halves
By the slice of time.

*Impulsivity*
A cup of warm tea
Having the rare rudeness of
Being spilt on hearts.

*Randomness*
A bird with no wings
Searching for you in vain
In a different world.

*Spoiled thought*
Your dark secret thought
Has told me that you can't walk
On my frozen heart.

*Apocalypse*
Bringing some brightness
To a world filled up with gore
By losing its sense.

*Emotive*
A random shadow
Crying deeply because of
Taking a bad life mark.

*Withdrawn*
Savage black pencil
Closed in a wide dirty box
Just praying to breathe.

I admit i don't have any real knowledge of haiku [even it was said in our school]

Sour peach petal,
Able to fly in the sky,
Flowing not that much.

*In the old way*
Fake paper flowers
Still withering in your hair,
Telling life stories.

*Moonlight*
Carbon-black low night,
Bringing us a creepy moon
To face out our souls.

*Hope*
Fade fingers searching
For solace in the cold wind,
Gnashing their nails.

*Suicide*
Drowning like a hitch,
A stone stained by the dark past
Falls noplace, dying.

*Rare logic*
A piece of charcoal
Dares to blow its nonchalance
Through nonaggression.

*Escape*
Laughing with black tears,
The door pulls out from its hinge,
Trying to run fast.

*Mist*
The wind is thrusting
At some poor living creatures,
Laying waste around.

oh.. and a poem i made ^ ^ [it's kinda old, but i'll post it]

~Sorrowblade~

Cross two foils, forming an "X",
Blow some blood in the wind's wide lips;
A black flag in the air,that's all i can see,
A harmful squeeze and the word "me".

I'm turning back,it's just a shadow;
No words,no you,it's my overflow..
Blood and ink, a dirty red rose...
I'm wondering how many stains it can cause.

It's funny because it's so pathetic,
A grin on the withered face of an heretic..
It's the pathos that i found reasons..
Why? To dash my life into pieces?

It has all started beneath the sorrowblades.
Don't tell me.. I really need a break.
A sultry corner.. Some random snowflakes...
A tear sitting on my icy edge.

And I remember some stupid childish words:
"The poor little puppy had been neglected"
A reflection of an "X" made of swords...
The sorrowblade,ink,tears,that's all that has rested.

read the rules, and stop giving us grammar lessons, it's not appropriate. This is not a "learn all about the art of a haiku"
