I was also discussing something about lag with someone in chat earlier, who apparently played people in Japan with very little lag. Apparently their ping to Google's Japanese website is 240ms.. which is a lot. And I don't even get that high a ping there. lol

Hmm.. Maybe it's just me then. I need to see about getting that USB ethernet adaptor thing. My wifi sucks. I played with Maru the other day (Texas - Florida) and we had such a lag.

Btw apparently my computer is capable of TV capture. I just don't actually know -how- and I need to look into it. Alternatively you can always send me the replays as I do know someone that has the software to convert them to videos for youtube. O_o;

I pinged my own router the other day and the ping was 1ms from my computer to the router ... so ^^; I don't have bad wireless.

Just typically British Internet. But hey, we'll see when I get the game if I lag playing someone from Russia

I dunno, when Brawl released in Japan and there was... I think 2 weeks till the US release, I entirely forgot about the game so that I wouldn't go crazy. Maybe you should do the same?

Well on the first suggestion I think that would just totally contradict the second suggestion. =P Besides, I haven't played the game so attempting to discuss it with people who have (a LOT more people than here, probably) would be a little awkward.

That's like saying "After you get all the characters and finish everything it does get boring" in any other game.

The Smash Bros series has been one of a handful of series of games that when I start playing, if I didn't need to eat, sleep or do anything else I wouldn't stop playing (Other such series include Rollcage, Wipeout, SSX, F-zero and Trackmania).

I get the game in 9 days. woo ^_^


Such do I disagree with the quoted statement that I have just gone and dug up an old magazine that I have which reviewed Smash Bros Melee when it first came out. This magazine back then used to have a little 'playbility' graph, which showed how long over a period of days, weeks, months etc you could play the game before you got bored.

Most games tended to top out at 5 hours a day and over a period of about a week to a month before the game would be 'boring'. Melee, on the other hand, had the graph span a year (yes, a year) with very little change in the time played before getting 'bored' of it. Such is the greatness of Smash Bros.

Now, I'm not saying Brawl is Melee I'm just giving an example of my opinion on that quoted message. As I will get Brawl next week I will be able to openly judge the game then.

And further more, I have nearly unlocked everything, but I never get bored playing smash, its a game you can always challenge yourself, and others, to improve. PWNing people is always fun, never forget that.

Also I want to Brawl with someone ;-; please anyone wanna brawl?

I really dont see how you can get bored with Brawl that easily. I went on a Brawl marathon about 2 days ago and ended up doing around 200+ matches against the same person And i'm still not bored with it. My fingers died after that though x_x. But i'm looking for anyone that wants play against me.

Yes a game can get boring if you play it consistently and nothing else, a good way to counteract this in brawl is to try finding a character that is fun to play with, even if your not that good with them but you enjoy playing with them it makes the game more enjoyable.

In the 400 or so hours ive logged on this game so far i havnt gotten bored once, that may because me and about 4-8 other ppl always hang out and play it together which makes it more interesting.

If your bored just try doing something different, thats all there is to it

I FINALLY FINALLY FINALLY got the game. And OMG. You have no idea how amazing it is in my opinion.

I want to write a full-on opinional review on this game so badly. Of course, I remember people saying how the Subspace Emissary becomes repetitive (and I will be honest - it does) but the game was never made for single players it was made for multiplayers.

I also got my first good-connection online battle today. xD It felt so good to finally have some decent control of Yoshi for once. (The Wi-Fi is never great for me. My internet seems pretty bad for gaming, it seems.)

This game rocks^^I just got the game and I must say I am very impressed with it. I thought the second one was good but the this one tops off and if way better than the other super smash bros.

Super Smash Bros Brawl does get boring when you unlock all of the characters and items but, for me, Super Smash Bros. Brawl is the most enjoyable game out of all of the Wii titles I own

And noone is ever on whenever I play either. I usually try to do Basic Brawls but the Ikes spamming forward and up smashes get tiring.

Spectating and gambling coins is fun. Sometimes you learn something new.

I think I've played one match against a smash-spamming Ike. lol. Most of the time the buttonlag is too bad even for those sorts of n00bs.

And spectator mode can be interesting. Once I watched a match where three of the four players just wanted to taunt all match, for some reason.
