If I can't sleep..I will either play a game or watch a movie or something....Other times I just lay in bed staring at the ceiling just wondering about what others are doing at the moment...Or I workout. XD

-lay there and stare at the ceiling
-listen to music
-wander around the house
-if I STILL can't get tired, I'll borrow a sleep aid
-problem continues, see a doctor

i focus on only my breathing and the sound of silence, i think of nothing else. you can count your breathes you take but that's all. it's a super good breathing exercise and eventually i start to sort of daydream, which means i am falling asleep. it's pretty cool.
Nothing really. Just lie down and do nothin. You'll eventually fall to sleep anyway.

I don't have any trouble sleeping, but I do find I fall asleep much faster if I've been drinking that night. I wouldn't recommend drinking a lot or doing it over several nights, since I seem to remember that alcohol affects the quality of your sleep.
i use lavender oil sometimes and then day dream until i eventually get to sleep
i watch tv or watch my pet lizard sometimes i will go and get on the computer

Well...day-dreaming (for some pple liek me) only makes me stay awake longer..what i do is either stay awake...or cry about something..until i get tired (cry baby). Do something that makes u tired..thats all. I always sleep better after a good cryXD. I don't recommend drinking...But if its not rly a big problem for you it'll derfinatly do the trick. Just have a cup or so..you'll b in sleepy land for sure! Works for me! Even though i can't always have it my way and do it..OR drink some nyquil!!!!! That works liek a charm also.
Well if nothings bothering my mind and I can't go to sleep here's what I usually do.
Make the room as dark and cold as possable (the cold make me sleepy and enjoy the warmth of my blanket more since I can't sleep without a blanket)
Listen to my stereo as quiet as possable on a really slow soft song that I enjoy. For me it's usually Death Cab For Cutie, Au4 or Sneaker Pimps. Those bands calm me.
Or I light the candle next to my bed and watch it's movement until I get to sleepy to pay attention anymore.
Or simply draw or write poetry/songs till I'm worn out.
But if somethings on my mind I do one thing.
(May be a little weird but I do it)
I talk to myself about the situation until it's clear.
I either watch some T.V. or listen to music til I fall asleep
When darkness falls light fades when there is darkness it's hard to see everyone and everything is lost in the darkness things fade and sometimes don't come back chaos will over come some because light no longer luminates the path but when light returns darkness fades now light rules for a while but darkness comes back to drown out light once again
well im weird when i cant sleep its either im not tired or i have alot on my mind i rather write down everything i am thinking of or i just watch tv till i get really tired and forget what i was thinking then i can sleep, or if your not a retard like me you can try sleeping in the cold, sure you may get sick but the cool mist well knock you cold (no puns intended) yes, it is another stupid advice but it works for me ^^'

When I can't sleep I usually either switch the way I'm laying. If I'm at the top of my bed then I go to the foot. I'll listen to music, day dream,turn the room all dark and just lay there, stare outside, talk to someone on the phone because that for some reason just puts me to sleep, and if all hope fails I watch my lava lamp until I'm to tired to watch anymore.

Soundtripping is a good way for me to feel relaxed and eventually fall asleep. Or, I do what kids do, count sheep ( it's really effective for me even though i'm 16 years old already ^__^ haha ) or think about stuff that's worth thinking about and happy moments in my life.
