Eragon
Has anyone read a book called Eragon by Christopher Paolini(sorry forgot how to spell last name) those who have please post your thoughts about it and if you havent you should read it. to me its a great book

As much as I love to read I disliked Eragon, it made my brain hurt for unspecific reasons.

I just finished reading this book actually ^____^ I am taking a break from that "world" and reading other books before moving onto the second book in the series Eldest.
I like Saphira ^___^ she's got a smarta5s kind of attitude at times and can be rather wise at other times.
The book overall was good but at the same time you could almost tell the age of the writer. Some parts were a bit obvious to me what was going to happen but I think that can happen with any book too. I still enjoyed it and am looking forward to reading Eldest.
at the moment im reading the eldest and like u said you can sometimes predict what was going to happen. i had read eragon when it first came out and since then waiting for the eldest. i agree that saphira is cool but what im waiting to find out is who the red dragon on the cover of the Eldest belongs to although my guess is that it isnt going to be on Eragon and Saphira's side.

I enjoyed reading them. I finished Eldest about a week ago, and it took me until the end of the book to figure out why they put a red dragon on the cover rather than a gold one, but...anyway.
It is rediculously predictable.I had figured out a LOT of stuff before even finishing Eragon. Only a few things did I not know would happen, but they weren't that shocking. Not to mention that you can TELL that Eragon is Paolini's first book. Reading it, I saw just how...amateur it is.
I also don't really like how he defines some of the different species, especially elves. But then, I have my own version of elves, so byeh =P
Overall, I like the series...but they definately won't make it to my 'favorite books' list. Paolini has to do a LOT better in the next book to even have a chance of doing so. Eldest really wasn't a whole lot better than Eragon.
I have to wonder, is EVERY one of the three going to end with a huge battle?

I really love the book it is awesome and quite interesting to read.

I enjoyed both books alot. I just can't wait untill the movie comes out in the U.S.A and i can't wait for the 3rd book. should be really interesting what happens in the 3rd book.

I read it and I loved it. I cant wait for the movie and the third book to come out. I really enjoyed it but then again I really like Fantasy books, thats all I ever really read. Thats all that ever strikes my interest. Nothing else really does. But I think it is one of the best books ever, even though there are better books out there.

There was a debate about what was going to be on the cover of the 3rd book. I've looked into it, and in the 2 main websites about the Inheratance series, and they both say the same thing: That theres ganna be a green dragon. Eragon...overall, was OK. I'm not really a fantasy-book-lover, but meh. This book took me so long to read, and gave me serious brain injuries. But, it was worthwhile. =D

It was an okay book; people are giving it more bang than it deserves. If you have nothing else to read, then by all means, give it a try. It's not the best fantasy novel I've ever read, but it's definately not the worst.
Haven't read Eldest yet; I'm debting if I want to.
i really enjoyed the books. they were both well written, even if a bit predictable at times, but all you who are bashing on the writer need to re-think what you are saying because it is only his fisrt books that are being published. not all writers were pure genius at the begining. it took them awhile to start writing better. who knows his next series might be better.

Wait, he wrote it when he was 15? o_o; I thought he wrote it when he was like 16 or 17. I never even finished the first book, I found another book that interested me too much. So I guess I'll try to finish the rest later on.
