What is the hardest class you've ever taken?

Mine would have to be a tie between CS250 Computer Graphics II which had basically the hardest tests I've ever taken in it and which I only barely passed with a C- (you have to get a C- or better in order to get credit towards your degree for a core class at my college), and MAT258 Discrete Mathematics which I'm taking now and is probably the most confusing math class I've ever been in. Basically MAT258 is really high level math stuff which is normally used for doing mathematical proofs, and that is what most of the problems we get are, stuff like:

Prove that between every two rational numbers there is an irrational number.

CS250 covered 3D graphics and transforms and that stuff is just flat out hard, especially because our tests were just deriving stuff we covered in class (i.e. no multiple choice or true false, just proofs and deriving matrices).

So what is the hardest class you've encountered so far, and why did you find it so difficult?

If you make 50's in that math already, don't do it

I lowered the level for this year, so I'm doing well.
Kinda makes me wanna flaunt it with Emails to my old teacher.

I would go with the astrophysics course I had three years ago... Physic was a subject in wich I was "allright" and managed to pass kinda easily but that class was heavy stuff... Dilatation of Time, lighspeed and critic mass of planets...

Yikes... sounds rough. I'm taking college level calc based physics and I'm alright in it, but I'm not a huge fan of physics... and I can only imagine how complex problems could get when dealing with astrological bodies.

For me my hardest class was 10th grade Chemistry

. I not only had a bad teacher but the subject confused me entirely, I didn't understand any of it

. I'm surprised I passed with a C.

Mine would have to be the one I'm in now. AP History which is at a college/university level class, and I'm a Junior in High School. Its extremely difficult and the teacher is insane. Its a favorite class, but definitely is bringing my GPA DOWN. D:

And I might note, that if I take the AP Exam at the end of the year and pass it with a 3, 4, or 5(More than I'm hoping for) then I get a full college credit and do not have to take the class in college! Wootage for spending less money!

Yah I'm not a big fan of Chemistry either some of that stuff is really damn confusing like anything involving the molecules in a substance... I can say I'm very happy I don't have to take any Chemistry classes ever again.

My sister just recently took AP Euro History and it sounded like it was a whole ton of work, she showed me the like 2 inch thick work book that they have to do... and all I could think is thank god I decided to take AP English instead and not go too far with honors history.

I also took AP History and even though my grades weren't very good I still did like that class (I was lazy and didn't do some of my work

). The only thing I hated was having to write essays, I hate writing essays

@ 氷の動物: Yeah, I'm taking AP Euro History NEXT YEAR. Maybe it won't be so bad cause I'm used to it and it will be alot more interesting because I love Europe. EUROPE= LOVE.

@Haibara: I know. The essays blow. GAH. I HATE IT. I have to write two FIVE PARAGRAPH OR MORE essays every test, and we have a test every other freaking day. But...I really like the class. And Yeah. I don't do my work either. Which is why I'm failing. x.X; I have to do good on the Exam, I'm not shelling out 85 dollars for nothing. >.<

But i also have to agree about Chemistry. I had a good teacher, I just didn't understand the subject at all and I missed alot. I still do. D: I can't stay in school it frustrates me to no end sometimes. So I bail. ;_; I'm sucha bad student.

I had trouble with the second half of basic calculus. Not because it was that hard, but because NWN2 was released a week into that course. I basically died on the finish line on that test.

I can tell you this: Chemistry is the work of the devil! It's not hard, just very very evil. It's applied physics, which is applied mathematics, which is applied elementary logic. Too many applications to be good.

Vasarian: Relativity is the easy stuff. Wrapping your head around quantum physics, on the other hand, is known to cause insanity and gray hair.

Truthfully, I enjoy Chemistry... then again, my dad is a chemist so... it's been fed into my poor brain since I was little(Short doesn't count!).

Anyways the "hardest" Class I've taken was last semester. It was Geometry. But it wasn't the stuff... it was the way, the teacher that we had wouldn't teach the stuff... and when he did, he said the complete opposite of the book. And let's just say not many people passed his class. I did amazingly, but it was hard. extremely hard. But it gt better when My dad yelled his head off at the guy. And now for my second semester of Geometry... I love it. The teacher is great, the stuff he teaches makes sense. And...dun dun dun... I'm getting an 'A'! Yay!

Right now my hardest classes would be: AP Calculas AB (2 year high school course, BC is next) and American History DC. (Dual Credit, gives me college credits along with HS)

I have a test in Calculas next period. -_- It's not hard or anything. I excel pretty well in math courses. I just don't pay attention. What am I supposed to choose to think about? How to integrate exponential functions...or what I'm going to eat for lunch in 30 minutes?

I'm not very strong in history in general. I can't remember dates very well. And "cramming" for tests doesn't work because I have bad short term memory. Besides, American history bores me. I don't exactly get to see the other POVs.

In all, I only do bad because I'm lazy. Otherwise I'd kick Kevin out of that first place class ranking. I don't really work in any class. Not even easy ones like French III. Hardest phrase I know is "Qui, c'est excellent" (Yeah I know...not very hard stuff). English III is stupid. Teacher kinda noticed how well I do and now lets me do errands instead of the usual class work.(Stuff others struggle on that I finish in 5 minutes)

Hmm... maybe I should finish working on the MS Excel stuff I'm supposed to be doing at the moment. XD

Maths....my teacher would never show us how to do anythin she would just sit there on here phone talking and shout at us if we got too loud..but i got a C so im happy..

Geometry. I took Geometry only for a year, which was grade 8. I LOVE Math. To be specific, I love Algebra. But I always got bad marks in Geometry. It really sucked. I don't remember why though... >_>
Also, grade 12 Physics and literature. They weren't that hard. Just too much info to memorize. I almost cried in the finals.

Mostly ANY math class for me. I only took just one math class in college thankfully since I double majored in Japanese and Studio Art.

Chemistry and just regular algebra or any math, I frickin suck so bad at that stuff.

I've taken a lot of advanced English courses and things like that, but I find just basic Algebra WAY harder then any advanced class concerning language arts.

Edit: I forgot, Music Theory was very hard for me, its basically the math of the music world, very interesting stuff though. Music theory, imo, is what really makes great musicians.

(I'm British btw, so the qualification won't make any sense to the Americans here, but I'll just say that Pure Maths involves a lot of freaking hard algebra and formulas.)

History, I usually fell asleep in that class, I just hated the way the teacher taught the class, all she would put up is a paper and we had to copy it - Oh! - Class is over, what did i learn from copying? . . . Nothing >.>;;
