What is a "Megas xlr"?

A cartoon from a few years ago on the cartoon network. It was about 2 friends who come across a giant robot named Megas. The robot was from the future I believe. They befriend a woman named keeva, also from the future, who is trying to recover Megas. Also after Megas are an alien race of Cthulhu imposters. Due to a series of unfortunate events Keeva and the aliens can't return to the future. From there I didn't pay attention much, it was a pretty bland series. It was canned after one season.

...it wasn't funny...it was lame...but then again, that's only one opinion among many.

Personally, I thought Megas XLR was awesome. The unashamed and unhidden deus ex machina in Megas were good for a laugh, as was most of the enemies fought. Sure, most superpowered mechs can blow up a ship some fifty times their size. But only Megas could by teleporting the driver's slushie to the right spot.

True. It was a great parody of the robot/sci-fi genre, and added in a little bit of social humor and current events just for fun. But I suppose most, if not all, of that would have gone over the heads of little kids.
