My god. The crab must have mushrooms on it (like Paras from pokemon =D). The worst thing i smell.. lemme see rotten milk , rotting egg and guess what , I accidently ate/drink it . Taste like crap put together with hell .

Vomit is nothing compared to Butyric acid -- what makes vomit smell like vomit (and rancid butter smell like rancid butter). The smell is just repulsive in every way imaginable.

My roommate's closet (as a total ignorant about "privacy", he leaves the closet door open with all of his dirty underwear overflowing from there...) as he neither cleans up nor does have an use of privacy.

Also, veggies left in a refrigerator for vacations (he never took them out for December vacations...)

well at my old place we had an old leather couch with a hole in the back and we were wondering why the room was starting to smell so bad, after about a week it was so bad we ripped open the couch and there was a rotting rat inside..... that smell is one not soon forgotten

Ummm, for me i think it was when my dad left some meat in an empty cooler in his car trunk for like...a week. Needless to say the stench was overwhelming- and long lasting. we tried evrythin to get it out, but it just got all chemically stinkified. It was disgusting. and retch-inducing.

I can top a dead rat, how about a dead body? While on my EMT clinicals one of the calls was tho a house that had a dead body in it..... The smell of death was stuck in my nose for 3 days. I had to wash my clothes 3 or 4 times just to get the smell out. Eating was aweful after that cause everything tasted like it was spiced with a dash of decay.

Well...I work in a nursing home as a nursing assistant, and let me tell you, changing diapers on old people has got to be THE worst smell I can possibly think of right now. When you come in to work in the morning, you can smell from outside the rooms who needs to be changed and who doesn't. It's gross.

Rotten fish is always gross, especially shellfish for some reason. Rotting eggs are pretty disgusting too, but you can usually avoid those by simply not cracking them. Not that you would really think about this one, but broccoli smells pretty rancid when rotting too. Probably the worst of the vegetables.

Personally, an old folk's home is one of the worst things I've ever smelled. Chibimoon is dead on when she says you definitely know who needs a diaper change when you walk into one of those places. The problem is, there are so many people wandering around all the time that the smell never really goes away.

As for the worst smell that's ever been expressed to me? A teacher of mine used to work as a paramedic. He walked into a house once that firemen actually needed gasmasks for. Some woman had been told after some surgery to stay in a laying position for some time afterward. She didn't move AT ALL from the leather couch in her living room. She had urinated and deficated all over herself for two weeks and was actually stuck to the couch because she was covered in so many bedsores. All her boyfriend apparently did all day was drink beer. The firemen couldn't detatch the girl from the furniture so my teacher and his partner ended up taking the whole couch with them to the hospital.
