    Default Kebap vs. Burger

I've just noticed something recentley, the most common fast foods aroud are Kebap shops. Although, not as popular as the old Burger, these middle-east originated, natural products took over the fast food market with a daring higher price, alimentation health, customer satisfaction and a minimal of publicity (mostly in west-europe). Fastfoods like McDonald's here are even criticised by the most gullable teenagers. I, for one, haven't had a burger in a year, but i mostly preffer to get a Kebap with some friends, once in awhile, although pretty seldom, for they are quite a Sting on my wallet.
Out of Burger and Kebap, wich do you preffer, and what do you think? Pay more for a healthier meat product, or pay less for something that appears to be meat?

I have only seen such a place in shopping malls. I don't see any hang out spots like that around here.

Nonetheless, I am quite content with a burger or even better, a fast food taco. I don't need my meat to be made of underdog for me to enjoy it. I'm perfectly happy with the classics. Not to say that I don't like trying new things. I just haven't found a strong draw to keep going back to something different, especially if it will be higher price.

Uhm, neither. I'll eat a hamburger over a kebap. But I rarely eat any of that stuff to begin with. Personally, I'd rather have some broiled chicken and vegitables. Only because I don't care much for any type of fast food. It's too expensive if you let it become a habit.

Ah yes, the Tacos. Not a lot of mexican food joints around here; mostly at the beach side, during it's active seasons. And definetley no KFCs around here. Well, i'm not gonna include the Burritos and Shaormas, but i see the hamburger-kebap situation more as a rivalty between west-east business in central european (sub)urban places. I'm just surprised how many people that three years ago would go to McDonalds all enthusiasted, would now turn on them for kebaps.
Anyway, my thought goes: instead of spoiling yourself with cheap and probably harmfull stuff everyday, treat yourself more rareley to a good, affordable meal and ensure a healthier future for you... and probably your children.

Never even seen Kabap around here. But I live in the deep south, the only place where a fast-food place that gives Christian propaganda as a happy meal toy could exist.

I find irony in the fact that a fried chicken joint has a mission statement like, "to glorify God by being a faithful steward of all that is entrusted to us and to have a positive influence on all who come in contact with Chick-fil-A."
Ehhh, I dunno if I'll stick around. We'll see.

Aaah, the good ole middle eastern kebab. While overall burgers tend to be more popular in general, after one has had a few brews there is nothing better than a Doner Kebab. They have become an essential part of Australian culture (i.e perpetual alcoholism).

    Taken from Wikipedia
"Döner Kebab (as döner kebab in Turkish and often simply kebab, döner, doner, donner or donair), which literally means "turning roast" is the name given to a Turkish dish made with lamb (or mutton), beef or chicken. Some have compared doner kebabs to shawarma and gyros, possibly because similar meat may be used, but they are in fact very different in terms of the filling and/or form. Doner kebabs are generally wrapped in tortilla-like flat bread, and shawarma is generally in pita or sandwich form. Gyros are always wrapped in pita. The difference in fillings are also very great. The gyro almost always contains the same few ingredients. Doner kebabs and shawarma, though, can include various salad ingredients such as carrots or red cabbage and fresh mint as well as a number of creamy sauces or even hot sauce."

I don't prefer either, I can eat them both. I find both rather filling and delicious (depending on where I buy them...)

I don't eat either of them that frequently (especially Kebabs), but I like (ham)burgers more - if only because I haven't had a Kebab in more than a year-and-a-half.
