Why are the programming threads being closed?I

I wanted to start a thread on computer programming, because I'm taking CS10 at my school, and we are using C++, so I wanted to know if others are out there learning. I did a search and found a few like that. But each thread close to my topic was closed. I was just wondering why. Any help?

There's a hack on the site that closes all threads older than 60 days ... that's probably the cause.

If you want it opened again you just have to PM the mod and ask or find out if they perfer you just open a new one.
