This is my first RPG anyway. One thing I'll mention is that as this is based on a story (Frankenstein), there are crucial characters that must be played, so, there is little or no room for the improvisation of characters, sorry!

History of RPG:

In the late 21st century, the world is not much different than it is today, only the technology has significantly increased. Scientists in Japan are on the verge of creating Artificial Intelligence. The operation is called "Prometheus X". Shouri Jindou is the head of the OPX (Operation Prometheus X). His father is the head of the scientific and militaristic sectors (DEM, the acroynm for Deus Ex Machina) of Japan at the time.

Upon the creation of the Being, it goes terribly wrong. The Being (which is a somewhat cliche giant mecha) is uncontrollable, and rampages through the area. OPX tries to contain it, but the Being easily eludes them, and is lost.

It is now Shouri Jindou's responsibility to find and destroy the Being before it causes further destruction.

Name: Shouri Jindou (Protagonist, head of OPX)

Appearance: Black hair, brown eyes, average size, completely average appearance.
Powers/Special Abbilities/Skills: None, this is a realistic setting.
Personality: Very charismatic, yet at times, extremely depressed and gloomy. He rarely gets angry, and is extremely intelligent and diligent. He is a perfectionist. He seems to care for others, but at a much closer glance, he is the true incompassionate monster.
Bio: Born and raised in Japan, his parents adopted a girl named Koushoku of his own age when he was a children. This girl would remain his cousin, and become his wife. As a child he fervently studied the sciences and math, in hopes of following his fathers footsteps.

Name: Koushoku Jindou (wife and cousin of Shouri, a nurse within the medical sector of DEM)
Age: 27
Gender: Female
Weapon: None
Appearance: Extremely beautiful; blond hair, blue eyes, average height and figure for a woman her age.
Powers/Special Abbilities/Skills: None
Personality: Loyal, humble, loving, she loves Shouri more than anything. All she wishes is that he be happy.
Bio: She was an orphan, adopted by the parents of Shouri Jindou, little is known previous to the adoption.

Name: Shin Jindou (father of Shouri Jindou, head of DEM)
Age: 70
Gender: Male
Weapon: NA
Appearance: Aging, grey hair, wrinkles, an older, and somewhat slightly different version of Shouri.
Powers/Special Abbilities/Skills: NA
Personality: A benevolent man, he takes great pride in his family, especially his son and adopted neice. He is extremely intelligent, and still commands DEM even in his age. He is always helping others and giving advice.
Bio: He has been involved with the government for quite some time, only to start a family in his later days. He is a widower, and admires and often brags about his family.

Name: the Being (antagonist)

Weapon: Basically everything; guns, bombs, lasers, blades, the whole 9 yards
Appearance: Think evangelion unit 01, but extremely hideous in all aspects.
Powers/Special Abbilities/Skills: Incredible speed, strength, stamina, intelligence, and a peculiar ability to appear at exactly the right time.
Personality: Seemingly malicious, but it is kind hearted and wishes for nothing but to be accepted by society.
Bio: Created by Shouri Jindou and OPX, it was an experiment to create AI

Name: Yume Tsuyagoto (Shouri's childhood bestfriend, and high ranking officer of OPX)
Age: 24
Gender: Male
Weapon: Giant Mechas to battle the Being
Appearance: Orange hair, blue eyes, tall, not extremely muscular though.
Powers/Special Abbilities/Skills: NA
Personality: Very witty and clever. He has been best friends with Shouri and Koushoku since childhood. Although he works for DEM, he is fascinated by nature, and the arts, especially poetry and literature. He is a true romantic.
Bio: Little is known of his origin or parents, only that he was always around Shouri and his family.

Name: Seijun Yuuzai (a close friend of the Jindou's, she is a somewhat major character)
Age: 18
Gender: Female
Weapon: NA
Appearance: Atrractive, brown hair, blue eyes, smaller than usual.
Powers/Special Abbilities/Skills: NA
Personality: She is nice, and particularly submissive. She has low self esteem and confidence. She is not opinionated, and takes anyone elses word except her own.
Bio: Koushoku used to babysit her when she was a child. Also, she was a computer prodigy, creating programs when she was 7. Now she works in OPX as a software technician. She is a master in her field, and people often refer to her as sensei, however, her lack of self confidence often makes her doubt her decisions, creating problems in her job and life. She is largely responsible for the programming of the Being, and is under suspicion that she had to do with the malfunction and failure of the Being.

Name: Takai Jindou (Shouri's younger brother, still in high school, he is a somewhat major character)
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Weapon: NA
Appearance: Young, still a teenager. He looks similar to Shouri, but he has blue eyes instead of brown.
Powers/Special Abbilities/Skills: NA
Personality: A typical younger brother, he looks up to Shouri with the highest admiration. Around Shouri he is quiet and obediant, but around friends he is loud mouthed and juvenile.
Bio: Quite younger than Shouri, he is not as diligent or hard working either. He wants to have fun, rather than fufill a long term goal. He is innocent, yet often finds himself in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Side: good

Name: Robert Walton
Age: 30
Gender: Male
Weapon: NA
Appearance: Caucasian, but the person can decide the little things about him.
Powers/Special Abbilities/Skills: NA
Personality: Intelligent, philosophical, very kind and somewhat spacey.
Bio: Not important, he doesn't show up until the very end of the story, when Shouri comes aboard his ship. He is a romantic, travelling for no reason really, other than for the sake of the journey.
Side: neutral

Minor Characters:
Officers and soldiers of DEM and OPX, shopkeepers, teachers, etc.

If you would like to create your own character, fill out the sample sheet and tell why you think they would add to the story, although I will probably be reluctant to add major characters. Those who play major characters will probably also play various minor characters.
