Shikamaru, Chouji, and Ino are like Kishi's favorite characters. He's not touching them. Also, two of their dads just died

Nobody gives a crap about Shino, Kiba, and Tenten. So their deaths wouldn't mean crap to the fanbase. I like Kiba though, so would be sad but he won't have any effect on the story.

All you have left are Lee and Neji. And Lee is comic relief. Can't kill the comic relief.
