Hmm I wouldn't be so sure. There's still Madara and the others out there.

But from the lastest chapter, I laughed when Orichimaru got pwned within 3 or 5 panels. I'm guessing that either Sasuke or Itachi loses their eyes, or at least something went wrong with their eyes.

Yeah. That was definitely pretty funny...though it seemed like it was just there to take up space. Hmm...I guess it did give a bit of an introduction to Susan'o's ability.

Question now is, what happens?

I think that Itachi's jutsu will fail, and Sasuke will take advantage of his blindness(I'm assuming he's blind now, give what his eyes look like, and that his dialogue gave specific mention to the fact that he recognized Orochimaru by sound and asked if it was him) and bring the fight to a final melee attack...nice and personal, just for Sasuke.

uuhh...we were actually told that in the manga.

I didn't notice that Itachi was blind...Maybe cos I was playin MGS: Portable ops whilst reading it. Must go and read it again.

It was never stated, but it's I think Kishimoto emphasized it a bit, in how Itachi has just pupils in his eyes, and the fact that he doesn't recognised Orochimaru by sight, but by his voice/chakra.

I have to agree with Xero, at this stage i can't see Sasuke losing, even if he has absolutely NO chakra left. Hand to hand combat will finish it, but the sword that can put you into an eternal bliss gengutsu, nasty. However orochimarus still out there within Kabuto, so hes still got some part to play down the line.
Im going to have to read chapter 392 again ready for when i wake up tomorow and read what will hopefully be the end of the fight.

Nah. Kabuto has just got his body...and he's gone off the deep end. Sasuke had Orochimaru's mind, which apparently manifested itself and created a new body (like he always does...) when Sasuke was weakened. Remember, that isn't his true form, afterall, so he can create that body whenever he feels like it.

I'm pretty sure Kabuto got (a least) a part of Orochimaru's mind, which is why Kabuto has to fight off Orochimaru as part of his goofy quest to be like Naruto.

That was....incredible. That actually had me on edge. Kishimoto is a genius for that. Why? Because of the insane develoment that Sasuke is about to get as a result of not only LOSING the fight to Itachi(face it, he's alive and Itachi is dead, but that was Sasuke's loss.), but to have Itachi die even though he won the fight...he didn't get his revenge. Itachi is dead now, and, I suppose that does technically make Sasuke victor, but what a completely hollow victory that is!

it is actually on the left hand..

it simply deflects any attacks...

Anyway, I think it's pretty obvious he's dead. Considering the amount of strain Susan'o put on Itachi, and amount of blood he lost, he's gone. Even if he were alive, Sasuke could easily run him through, but Xero's pretty much cleared that as well. The battle's over. "Victory" by default to Sasuke. It'll be funny to see how he deals with that.

I wouldn't say its victory by default. After all Sasuke is the one who injured him. He could still smash his head in though...even if he is dead it would still be satisfying lol.

Yeah but a large chunk of that damage was caused by Itachi's use of Susan'o. In a way, he essentially defeated himself after desperately trying to get the eyes. Sasuke's techniques were much less self damaging.

Probably just a nod to the bond of brotherhood between the two before the clan's slaughter and Itachi's ultimate failure to attain the eyes. it shows how close he came.

As disappointed as I would be, I will completely admit, I would laugh histerically at that, and more than likely proclaim it as one of the best moments in there series.

He poked Sasuke's head coz he couldn't see. However, Masashi may have put it as a double meaning for Sasuke and the viewers to perhaps remind them that in the end these two are still brothers or whatever. But did you see Sasuke's evil smile, lol, that shocked me. It was cool.
