The voice rang out for a thousand years
Into the sands of time they went
The sound rang out towards heavens pier
So the Gods would surely sense

Where did this voice come from?
So far away and gone...
How can it reach to the heavens?
Across the light of the cosmos' dawn?

Such sanctity it brings to the mind
A soft and subtle linger
Like the ringing of a bell so gentle
The words seem to warm the winter

The night is so bright with warm intention
The voice runs through like a divine intervention
Soothing the wounds of all who hear
All draw their loved ones so very near
In front of the warm fire they pray
To the voice so distant and so far away;

"Be our light so shinning vast,"
"To become our shield is all we ask"
"Bring us warmth in the winter cold,"
"As you have since the times of old"

To which the soft prayer went
Across the lands so far and distant
To the edge of the cosmos around the silver sea,
To all of us, to you and me
We are blind to it yet we all can see
The voice is there enlightening our being.
