Which anime did you watched mainly last year (2006) (Which was your favourite anime in year 2006)???


Last year i wasn't so active on animes... i re-watched only the secret of blue water serie and the slayers serie... Hope this year would be better ..

Ouran High School Host Club, definitely. It was one of the best animes I had seen in a while.

2006 was a big Death Note and Fruits Basket year for me...but I also obsessed a lot with Ouran High School Host Club...but mostly the other two.

Anyways, last year I really enjoyed Fate/Stay Night, Eureka Seven, and Death Note among many others. I'm trying to branch out slowly but surely.

Blood+ (Good at first, lacking after the story-line gap)

Hanbun no Tsuki ga Noboru Sora (touching...)

Not that good of a year in anime, in my opinion at least. F/SN, E7, and HnTgNS were excellent, and TMHS was decent. Blood+ started off good, but died off in the late-spring/early-summer when they had that year-gap in the storyline.
Anime which had been good in past years stumbled a bit: Naruto was in filler for the ending half of 05 and all of 06. One Piece went through it's first filler arc. Bleach went into filler. Black Cat started good in 05, but got too far from the story set up by the manga and lost itself in 06. .hack//ROOTS had great potential, but wasn't that great.

my favorites from 06...hmm...let's see..my top ten would be...

1. gakuen heaven - i just love the art for this series and another cute shounen ai series to add to the collection. Good storyline as well...

2. princess princess - it was fun and cute although they really should have more.

3. honey & clover II - a nice series to watch and i like the ending to this one.

4. ouran high host club - although i'm still more of a manga fan i still liked the anime...although i wish they would have added some of the scenes from the manga that they cut out.

5. hanbunno tsuki ga noboru or hantsuki for short - it was one of my favorite romance series that came out this year, short but great.

6. Saiunkoku Monogatori - it reminds me of fushigi yuugi without the annoying characters ... which makes me love the series even more. plus i love the opening themesong

7. deathnote - i love the manga and the live action so i watched the anime and also ended up liking it. however i do admit i am alil' behind on the series...

8. utawarerumono - love the artwork, love the opening song, and love the storyline...although

 

i would have liked it better if they got each other at the end

...hmmm...but that's probably just me...

9. Prince of Tennis - ova - i know the series started way before 06 but the ova's started in 06 so it has to be allowed...i love this series and it's one of the first...not the first, but still one of the first sport series i really liked.

10. Aria the natural - love the drawing and i like the slow pace of the series....it's not a boring slow but a relaxing type of slow in a movie and i like it. plus love the song used and the artwork for this series...
