Cancer can be cured, but do you think the drug companies that make tens of thousands from keeping you in the hospital, feeding you this and that medication/treatment/etc your entire life, are going to just say "OK here, take this pill and you'll be fine"? Curing Cancer is just too expensive for them, and sadly people care more about money than other people or even their own planet (see also: pollution and global warming).

As for questions, well... I'd probably just ask what the meaning of life is.

Since I don't blame hypothetical figures for the ups and downs in my life, I would ask this very important question: "Sandwiches landing butter side down. Really, what's the deal here? This has to be some sort of internal joke."

Mythbusters explained this. It's a fairly complex explanation but to simplify, this happens because bread is generally stored butter-side-up. Specifically, the act of buttering bread involves pressing in on it which, especially if you do it in your hand, creates a slight curve in it. Because of this curve, and because of how bread slices are shaped in general, the bread spins as it falls, and since the bread generally falls a very short distance to the ground, it only has enough time to complete half a rotation.
If you drop a piece of buttered bread from high off the ground (say off the roof), there's about a 50/50 chance it will land butter-side-up. Just one more way the laws of physics are cruel.

You know, it's pretty rude to come into a thread that has nothing to do with religion, and start babbling about how you dont believe god exists. This is a hypothetical thread, and it doesn't need any of your beliefs in it. Just questions you would ask God. This is for people who believe he exists, and people who dont. Biased opinions? I thought I'd killed that phrase for good on this forum. The words biased and opinion are nearly synonymous. You can't state your opinion without being biased, so by answering the question, you're by any definition of the word I'm aware of, giving out your "biased opinion". You can't hold it against regular people that they're biased--they're supposed to be, dictionaries, news reports and public officials however, should not be biased.

This being my first post since... about forever... I'd like to hold meaning to someone out there. And here's the thing I've noticed with this thread, people are asking "why" too much. You aren't going to get the right answers if you ask the wrong questions. "Why does God permit suffering in this world?" God doesn't permit suffering in this world. Man does. Man is the one ruling this world, not God. That's not to say God doesn't exist or doesn't care, it's just saying that mankind is the source of evil and to blame any deity is just sad.

And to move on to the topic of this thread, I'd ask God this one simple question:
"Can I borrow some money?"
