Dumbledore not really dead?

The title, is what my band director has been chorusing at us for the past two years. After Dumbledore died, we had a huge disscusion during advisory on it. Our band director entered it saying that he isn't dead.

Here are his theories:

1.) Snape and Dumbledore are half brothers and had it all planned out

2.) When falling off the tower, it was not really Dumbledore.

3.) A death eater or a-something took Dumbledore's place.

Here is what we retorted.

1.) In no way are they half brothers, Dumbledore is way older then Snape, maybe by hundreds of years, and he never fully trusted snape.

2-3.) The phoneix leaves the school which would only happen if Dumbledore was dead. And the second part of this is Dumbledore's picture was on the wall with the other departed headmasters..

Does anyone have theroies for it or not? Cause I'm not signalling out the possibility have him not being dead, but I just think he is.

He's dead but I agree with number one minus the half brother thing, I have no idea where that could have even come from. There were seen arguing in the woods, apparently Dumbledore wanted Snape to do something he wasn't comfortable with. I highly doubt he would be comfortable killing Dumbledore.

Snape may hate almost everyone but Dumbledore has been the only person to ever treat him with respect, and I really believe that Snape is amazingly loyal to Dumbledore. Not to mention the way Dumbledore acted around Harry made me think that he himself knew his time was drawing to and end. Remember what he said in the first book about how the wise do not fear death.

I think Dumbledore planned his own death in order to accomplish a greater goal. Not sure what this greater goal is but I'm sure it will be revealed in the seventh book, which I have just ordered and should be at my house in late July.

I must admit, I was sooo devastated wen Dumbledore died. I was all, "Noooooooooooooo! It's not true!" *ish a dork*

I think that he is in fact dead. I mean, with Dumbledore around, Harry could never fully realize his destiny. Dumbledore was just much too protective of Harry. There is evidence of that when they went to retrieve the horcrux, and when they were in the ministry. Rowlling had to kill off the old man.

He was hit dead on with the killing curse, he most certainly died, and besides, what sense would it make if Rowling brought him back?

Your band teacher sounds interesting. All I get from my band teacher is a random "Get out of my face" or shout telling us to be quiet and stop running with instruments.

But with the Dumbledore thing I'm 99.9 percent sure he's dead and forever will be.

Maybe Dumbledore used a type of Horcrux? Part of his soul may still be alive somewhere.

Hai, but why would the author spoil the plot like that? She could easily trick you besides people still have opinions, even though we know Dumbledore is dead.

You know, there should really be spoilers tags. Especially when it includes stuff that some people may have not read yet. I'm not exactly meaning dumbledore dying, everyone pretty much knows that, but still. This is an anime site, and usually when you talk about an anime and your post includes spoilers, you'd USE spoiler tags.

I just bearly read that chapter yesterday and I haven't had time to really have an opinion on it. Although, they are promoting the new book with the whole "Is Snape good or bad" thing. so it could go either way.

I don't trust Snape, but I do think something might happen with him.

And I checked the interview back and front, and printed it out. No where in it does JK Rowling confirm it she does answer did 'Dumbledore Plan to Die' but that's about it besides him being lonely.

If you want him to come back to life, go read a fanfic, I'm sure there are loads of them with Snape as the half brother of a living, breathing Dumbledore, who live above Harry Pottah's living parents and god-uncle's flower shop.

I'm bitter because the book got ruined for me the first day I got it. D:

Haha, yeah I haven't read those books in yonks. And whatever god-thingy Sirius is, I'm tired so whatever I type is the leftside of brain talking.

And I'm sure he's dead, you don't just fall off a massive big tower and live much, especailly if you're a half drunk ancient wizard. And to top it off you get a funeral and your fire birdie flies away.

I'm not saying the Dumbledore isn't dead, after all didn't I point out the Fawkes left the castle aren't I? I'm just saying that its possible for people to come up with really good theories that Dumbledore isn't dead. For example one I've fiddled with:

There could be something taking Dumbledore's place willing, but that would lead to doubts as Fawkes left and his picture was mounted on the wall. But what if became something us like had a horcrux, or evenn something un-human?
