Of course it's not their fault.
The comment was simply to state that they don't have enough systems. If you ask me, they should have waited another month or so to launch the system. It may not have been out for christmas, but there would have been more.

I remember similar riots and conflicts like this when the PS2 had launched. Not a pretty sight. The majority of the problem rests in people who just can't sit down at wait.

I'll also be happy, knowing that because of the PS3, no one cares about the large abundance of available wii consoles. So, I'll not have to worry about my Wii.

Its ridiculous that a video game system caused such an uproar and actual violence, not just brawling, but shooting and stabbing. I mean, its JUST a PS3! By how people are acting you'd think the thing granted wishes or something.

I dont understand why these people are going all friggin nuts over something that we have basically all seen before (video games, dvd player, internet etc.) its sad...

Anyway, no I wouldnt blame Sony for something like this, its not something they have much control over. And I'd react the same way if this happened with any other launch.

I doubt we'll ever see another launch where theres a shortage of systems though. Hopefully.

People will shoot each other over almost anything they think is valuable and worth having; food, land... I guess PS3's now fall into that category.

While it isn't Sony's fault, they seriously should have made more systems prepared for launch. It isn't as if they would have had problems selling them all.

Anyways, it's crazy what lengths people will go through to get ahold of the stupidest things. Human ignorance and stupidity has truly reached a breaking point.

every system tends to have issues at release and the ps3 is no exception
so what i plan to do during the next console launch is for each of me and my friends to buy one and pass it on to ebay=$$$$ from the stupid and needy people with too much money

That's not true.
No Nintendo system has had significant issues at release. That didn't start happening until XBox and Playstation came into the picture.

Like regex said, nintendo has never had problems at launch. There may have been a few dud's, but no where near the level of sony and microsoft.

None the less, buying a console at launch doesn't mean anything. I'm on my third playstation 2, only one of those was purchased at launch.

When the 360 came out, there still wasn't enough for everyone that wanted one. Its called waiting in line. If you want one bad enough, you wait in line and stand there for it. If you don't, then tough luck, just wait. I mean its not like Sony only made that few of systems and thats it. They will eventually make more, and odds are, more games will be ready for it by then as well. There is nothing that great about getting a system when it first comes out.

1. You pay more for it
2. Not many games are out for it right away
3. There could still be bugs in it
4. Ya gotta stand in line for countless hours unless you're lucky enough to pre-order it

When it comes to video games and system, patience really does pay off.

About Sony not making enough of systems...

Microsoft made a limited number as well, so if Sony woulda competed like Microsoft did, people still woulda been left out, and someone still likely woulda been shot. I know it looks like a good system, but c'mon, its not like you're never gonna get one.

Yeah well it wouldn't be sony's fault. It's just the dum customer. Anyway i bought mine the day it came out and it is terrific. Blew my mind out of my skull. But who cares i am selling mine on Ebay as we speak. I bought it mainly to make more money. Sweet can't wait till it closes and i rake in my big bucks.
