my fave element has always been water.

If you're talking in magical fairy-tale Final Fantasy element terms. No element is stronger than the other. Why? Every element is going to be strong against one element, weak against another, and neutral to the rest.
Therefor none are stronger than the other.
As for favorite
Fire.
And before anyone says it.
No, Darkness is NOT an element you wannabe vampire anime fan's
Also...Don't we have like...30 of these threads?
my fav element is lightning
mine is wind or fire!
Are you a fan?:Fan of:
Based from the anime Zero No Tskukaima, my favorite element is Void (composed of both light and dark).

Water and wind
People can like the element of Dark(ness) without being wannabes of anything, emos, or whatever. Likewise, people can like the element of Light without being hyper, bimbos, or anything of the sort.Originally Posted by Redfield22

Anyway, from the four main elements mine are Wind and Fire.
From all the elements I've seen, mine are Fire, Wind/Air, Lightning/Thunder/Electricty, Light, Metal, Time, Darkness and Ice.
As for what's the strongest, Redfield22 answered that already, but I would like to add an, I believe Chinese, order of the elements' powers.
According to it, Wind < Water < Earth < Tree < Metal < Fire.
Water
Darkness ain't an element no matter how many FF games say so
See? You just contradicted yourself. The thread started didn't specify which elements or from where did they mean. So, it is an element in FF games, and a bunch of other games. It doesn't matter where it's called that, it still is called an element.Originally Posted by Sagat
So, unless the thread starter comes back and is more specific, if something has been called an element, there's no reason why the people posting here couldn't name it as their favorite.
It has always been wind. And I would like to control it and fly... And it is the strongest in my opinion because you can move stuff, make a storm and cut when its very strong wind....
Fire!
me myself is a fire and dark element person idk but i have always liked being a BLM. but thats me
Mine has always been lightning for some reason.
Hydrogen.
I love how it's so plentiful.

Still, Light and Dark aren't elements of nature. Lighting is iffy as well.Originally Posted by ~GH~

Why do you think there wasn't a "LIGHT!" Or "LIGHTING!" or "DARK" Planeteer?
Heart was just there because every living being (save plants) has a heart, and they were out of elements.
You don't build your home on darkness, you build it on earth.
You don't run a wind-powered generator on darkness.
You don't warm yourself in front of the darkness while curling up with a good book.
You don't drink darkness.
But Redfield ... some people here .. they have darkness in their hearts..!!
I like the element of surprise!
Ok...water =3

I like water. It is very useful for a lot of things and without it, there would be no life here on Earth. And there would be no beaches, what's life without beaches?
Besides, water is destructive, it can destroy fire and earth and powers up well with wind. Just look at the power typhoons and hurricanes have. Also, water has a high specific heat which makes it able to store heat more than other things. Not just that, water's properties makes it able to sustain life here on Earth.
And Redfield is right, if light and darkness were elements, there would have been more Planeteers. However, I always figured that Heart was there for all the living things (including plants) on the planet.
Thanks for the sig Xey Oiz ^.^
I like all the elements that are on The Periodic Table Of Elements.
Like Hydrogren, as Ami~Chan has said.
Because that is what real elements are. And everything else aforementioned is made up of elements, not elemental themselves.
You kids need to pay attention in school. Take a look at the table, and notice that Fire, Water, Ice (frozen water, dammit), Earth, Air, Light, Darkness, Lightning, Pain, or Blood are not to be found among real elements, like Gold, Copper, Hydrogen, Aluminum, Carbon, Titanium, etc.
This was too easy. XD

The more you know!
Basically, all you say in that post of yours is "Light and Dark aren't elements", and then go on to tell what you can do with the four main elements. Nice, but I don't see how that helps your point.Originally Posted by Redfield22

You can also drink orange juice. In fact, scrap all the previous elements I mentioned as my favorites, because orange juice is my new favorite element.
Darkness isn't part of the four elements you mentioned there, as it's not "Main element", "Classical Element", "Element of Life", or whatever other titles those four have gotten, I know that. But it doesn't mean it couldn't be an element. Wood and Metal aren't part of those four either, and they are still elements.
But you know what? This whole debate is pointless. You know why? I'll tell you why.
1. There are many ways to define "element". I have heard/seen many myself. Yours, mine and the maker's of the game may, and apparently do, vary. So far, I haven't heard yours.
2. I don't even care does Darkness meet the "requirements" you set for something to be an element, nor why was it chosen as an element in FF/TOS/BK/Bunch of other games.
My point from the start was, that if a game calls it an element, then in that game, no matter whetre it deserves it or not, no matter what your definition says, it is an element. Therefore, if the question is "Which element you like?" or like it should be "Which element do you like?" and the starter of the thread doesn't specify what we should use to measure what's an element and what's not, doesn't give us a list of elements nor a source of what we should use to look up what elements are count in this thread, then answering "Darkness" shouldn't be a problem. Same goes for Light, Heart, Time, Wood, or whatever.
EDIT: I started typing this post before that above post was there. Meh, doesn't matter, it really just proves my point of there being many ways to define "element".
water is the one for me..
