I told him no. He asked me why.
I don't want to touch no fat.
Ugh!

If you were in my situation what would you have done.

Anyway back to the subject. Lipo sunctions is nasty. The person should have never became fat in the first place.
It's thier fault they ate to much Burger King and Taco Bell.

I dont see liposuction as a bad thing. Some poeople have bad motabolisim, and gain weight even when eating healthy. All they do is remove some fat, which I dont think is such a horrible thing. Fat CAN kill you, so if a person is overly obese, then they should have some liposuction done to prevent a heartattack.

If you eat healthy yet gain weight, you don't exercise nearly enough. If you do exercise sufficiently, it is physically IMPOSSIBLE to gain weight. Seriously, it violates the first law of thermodynamics.

There are probably rare medical exceptions (meaning: one in a million, not the masses) where this doesn't apply for some reason. They are however exceptions.

an underactive thyroid will cause you to gain weight over any regular eating and exercising. They will perscribe you Synthroid to take as soon as it gets to that point. But its not a one in a million thing. Its actually VERY VERY common and hereditary. My mother, aunts, cousin, and myself all have it. I was told by a doctor that I have antibodies in me that are slowly killing my thyroid for no good reason. He found out from a blood test during a regular check up because he saw my thyroid glands were larger than normal.

Some people can't afford health care/perscriptions for this so they will gain weight without control, even if they eat right and exercise.

As to the OP, I doubt they are smart enough to actually operate a suction machine due to their wonderful grasp of english and grammar, so the only other logical explanation is that the doctor wanted to PREFORM it. Soooo, hey go ahead...

oh no, I'm not considering cost whatsoever. Lipo is for people who want to get thin quick, don't want to do the work for it. I'm just saying that the whole eat right/exercise thing isn't always right, and exceptions arn't as rare as you're claiming originally. Altho my mother has a very hard time getting the weight off that she's put on before they discovered the genetic issue, even tho she does take Synthroid.

Considering all the years you have to go to school to become a doctor, and you can't even spell liposuction... Furthermore, if you were a doctor, you would know that it isn't just eating fast food that can cause you to become obese... These things were both brough up earlier, I know. I just want to reiterate.

All around, you're not too bright, and I don't exactly appreciate you insulting everyone's intelligence by thinking you have anyone convinced.


So, if I were in your situation, I would probably stop playing in the Neighborhood of Make Believe if it grossed me out that much.

i am not quite sure what we are discussing but... i would never get lipo if i could help it. not for any logical reason mind you.

only because once on tv some channel showed lipo getting done. watching fat slide through a narrow tube out of someones stomach is a pretty big turn off

I find this post rather pointless.. o_0 Lipo is NOT for people who are lazy (not all anyway), there are some individuals that simply CANNOT exiercise, because they are *TOO* big, and if they were to try, can easily suffer a heart attack. Lipo is really only to be used to keep you ALIVE, because of how big you are. Same with Gastric Bypass. But these days many people take advantage of that technology and suffer the consequences.

My mother's friend just had the Gastric Bypass surgery done. She regrets it. Why? Because she lost weight *so* fast, that it didn't give her body time to adjust to it slowly, so now she has A LOT of extra skin on her body, that just.. hangs. And it's gross! Really gross.

So, blah. Eat right, exiercise/stay active and you'll be just fine!

My sister is kinda diet-and-exercise crazy but due to her body the fat goes off veeeerrryy sloooowwwly. At the moment she looks fine, her body is in good shape and she has a lot of toned muscles, but there are "chunks" of fat that she just can't get rid of, even though she's pretty normal in other parts. Like a mini-spare tire, I guess you could say.

That said, she'll never actually go for surgery.

The thing many people don't understand is, some weight problems are hereditary, but that DOESN'T mean you shouldn't still try to lead a active and healthly life as much as you can.

Everyone is born with different genes and a different body type, not everyone is supposed to have the same exact shape.

As for lipo -- I find it a temporary solution. The fat cells will keep on regenerating, they don't stay gone forever, plus it's very expensive and VERY dangerous. I think a good excericise and eating plan is best.

I know some weight cannot be lost even with excercise, but there has to be a better alternative then liposuction.
